HAIRSPRAY has been chosen as NBC's next live musical following the success of last month's THE WIZ LIVE!.

Marking 20 years since the debut of the Emmy Award-winning sketch comedy series “MADtv,” The CW Network will broadcast the MADtv 20th ANNIVERSARY REUNION tonight, January 12 (8:00-9:00 pm ET/PT).

The Marvelous Wonderettes are back!  Producers Tom and Michael D'Angora are bringing the long running Off-Broadway hit musical to New York's Theatre Row this spring.  The production, which features such classic 50's and 60's hits such as  "Lollipop," "Dream Lover," "Stupid Cupid," "Son of a Preacher Man," "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," and "It's My Party," will feature two time Drama Desk nominee and Youtube sensation Christina Bianco and Emmy Award nominee Kathy Brier.  Additional casting and creative team will be announced early next year.

With this strong ratings report, NBC will air an encore telecast of its holiday production on Saturday, Dec. 19 (8-11 p.m. ET).
