The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company transforms its intimate OtherStages space into a warm and welcoming pub for the regional premiere of an engaging new play with music, The Road to Where, beginning tonight, August 13. Broadway's Cass Morgan wrote and stars in this true-life tale of a journey to rural Ireland that brought her a surprising new sense of 'home.' Fresh from its world premiere at the Geva Theatre in Rochester, New York, The Road to Where comes to Weston audiences with the hopes of productions in New York and around the country.

Theater for the New City's award-winning Street Theater Company opened its 39th annual tour August 8 with 'Teach It Right, or, Right to Teach,' a rip-roaring musical which tackles the challenges and struggles facing public education in NYC. Free performances will tour City streets, parks and playgrounds throughout the five boroughs through September 20. The 'Pump Boys' sell high octane on Highway 57 in Grand Ole Opry country and the 'Dinettes', Prudie and Rhetta Cupp, run the Double Cupp diner next door. To look at it, you wouldn't know that this little stop on the highway is where all the action is, but when the boys get the guitars, piano, bass and, yes, kitchen utensils revved up, you won't want to be anywhere else. 'Pump Boys and Dinettes' is packed with highly entertaining toe-tappers such as 'Drinkin' Shoes,' 'Farmer Tan' and 'The Night Dolly Parton Was Almost Mine!'
