Broadway and Off-Broadway producer Ken Davenport (author of the popular blog, www.TheProducersPerspective.com) will present the second offering of THE DAVENPORT DEVELOPMENTAL READING SERIES, four readings of new works (plays and/or musicals), on Monday, June 14th at the Mint Theater (311 West 43rd Street/3rd floor): Steven Owad's Heartland, directed by Stafford Arima.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto has announced that due to unforeseen conflicts with Roger Rees' schedule, The Old Globe's upcoming production of What You Will has been replaced with Golda's Balcony starring four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh. Written by William Gibson and supervised by Scott Schwartz, Golda's Balcony earned Feldshuh a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress, and is the longest running one-woman show in Broadway history. Golda's Balcony will runin the Old Globe Theatre April 28 - May 30. Previews run April 28 - May 1. Opening night is Saturday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are currently available to subscribers only. Carolyn Griffin, Producing Artistic Director of MetroStage, is pleased to announce that Paul Scott Goodman will be performing his show Son of a Stand Up Comedian, directed by Michael Baron, at MetroStage beginning April 15 through May 9, 2010.

Music Director) have been named judges for the 2010 Lotte Lenya Competition, an annual international competition that recognizes talented young singer-actors, aged 19-32, who are dramatically and musically convincing in a wide range of repertoire.

Rehearsals begin today, Monday, April 5 for the World Premiere production of PARADISE FOUND, a new musical under the combined direction of Theater legend and 21-time Tony Award winner Harold Prince (the original productions of Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, The Phantom of the Opera, Company, Follies, Evita) and 5-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (Crazy For You, Show Boat, The Producers, Contact). This is their first collaboration since the landmark, Tony Award-winning revival of Show Boat. Following the New York rehearsal period, the production will open at London's acclaimed Menier Chocolate Factory with performances running May 19 through June 26.

In conjunction with the New York premiere production of The Hidden Sky, Prospect Theater Company will host an afternoon symposium featuring scholars and artists, including the show's creators. The discussion will focus on the relationship between mathematics and music, the historical conflict between science and religion, and other ideas explored in this new musical.
