After several rounds of tough auditions, the award-winning Minnetonka High School Drama Department has cast its biggest show ever-Andrew Lloyd Webber's romantic masterpiece, The Phantom of the Opera. With performances beginning April 29th, it will be the musical's first ever Minnesota production.

The 2011 Spring Repertory season at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival will include Ron Hutchinson's comedy Moonlight and Magnolias and Shakespeare's Much Ado about Nothing and Julius Caesar. Three 'Extreme Weekends' are available where all three shows can be seen in the same weekend on April 30 - May 1, May 7-8, and May 21 - 22.

A haunting American classic, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL marks the first Cleveland Play House production of a work by Pulitzer Prize- and Academy Award-winner Horton Foote, and the world-premiere performance of this play by an African-American cast. Receiving the blessing of Hallie Foote, daughter of the playwright, this co-production with Round House Theatre is helmed by Timothy Douglas and stars preeminent African-American actress Lizan Mitchell as Carrie Watts. The Public Theater's acclaimed production of THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, starring Al Pacino as Shylock and Lily Rabe as Portia, will conclude its successful Broadway run on Sunday, February 20 at the Broadhurst Theatre. The critically lauded production began at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park last summer and officially opened on Broadway on November 13.
