Theater for the New City Presents LIVING IN A MUSICAL

Living In A Musical Plays March 4 to 21 at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (at E. 10th Street). The show is presented by Theater for the New City and runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00 pm; Sundays at 3:00 pm $10.

ASC Presents GHOSTS OF TREASURE ISLAND

Adventure Stage Chicago (ASC) presents the final production of their 2009-2010 season: the Midwest Premiere of THE GHOSTS OF TREASURE ISLAND, adapted by Eric Schmiedl from Robert Louis Stevenson's classic 1883 adventure novel Treasure Island. THE GHOSTS OF TREASURE ISLAND features music and lyrics by the band Captain Bogg and Salty and is directed by Amanda Delheimer (The Cay, The Ash Girl).

Marin Theatre Company will produce the world premiere of its 2009 Sky Cooper New American Play Prize winner, Sunlight by Sharr White, January 21 through February 14, 2010. In addition to the Sky Cooper Prize, Sunlight has garnered substantial national recognition. Following MTC's premiere, this searing political thriller will be produced at three other theaters as part of a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere-Arts West in Seattle, Phoenix Theatre in Indianapolis, and New Jersey Rep.

Woodstock Fringe Announces News And Upcoming Events

Woodstock Fringe honored by The Dramatist Guild Fund- Woodstock Fringe was recently honored with a grant from THE DRAMATISTS GUILD FUND to support the work of Woodstock Fringe - development of new plays through the work of the Playwrights Unit and the production of new plays during the annual Woodstock Fringe Festival of Theatre & Song.

The Tarragon Theatre in Toronto, known for its development, creation and encouragement of new work, has announced the lineup for its annual Play Reading Week which will run from November 19 to 28, 2009. In all, nine original works will be given a reading by professional actors. This year's offerings will include the following theatrical works:
