Shapiro, opens Sunday, July 21 at 7 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum. The darkly comic new play continues through August 18, 2013. (Preview performances started July 10.)

Theater Accident, in association with Blue Coyote Theater Group, announces that THE ZEBRA SHIRT OF LONELY CHILDREN, written and performed by Minnesota native Matthew Trumbull and directed by Matthew Freeman, will make its Midwest premiere at the 2013 Minnesota Fringe Festival. Both a 'Critic's Pick' and part of Fringe NYC's Encore Series, Zebra Shirt won the Overall Excellence-Solo Performance Award at the 2012 Festival.

North Haven Arts and Enrichment will present the world premiere of RED EYE OF LOVE, a new musical comedy. The book and lyrics are by Arnold Weinstein and John Wulp. The music is by Sam Davis.

Following a successful fourth season with productions at Theater Wit and the Athenaeum Theatre, The Ruckus Theater is proud to announce its fifth season in Chicago. Artistic Director Allison Shoemaker and Associate Artistic Director Joshua Davis release today a season of five new plays and workshops. First, Artistic Director Allison Shoemaker takes the helm of a revamped version of The Ruckus' first Chicago production, Heist Play. Through a workshop and development process in 2013, this production has undergone significant rewrites by playwright Mitch Vermeersch and will be performed at The Side Project (Oct. 12- Nov. 10, 2013). The Spring production, The Deer, is penned by Chicago playwright Brooke Allen (Ruby Wilder) and will be directed by Eric Hoff (Hit the Wall). The Deer will be performed at Collaboraction (March 30-April 27, 2014). Additionally, The Ruckus will present three works-in-progress in the late Spring of 2014, including new work Home After Dark by Will Bishop and two pieces to be devised by the company. It is my pleasure to share some casting news regarding The Winslow Boy, directed by Lindsay Posner: Michael Cumpsty (Desmond Curry) and Alessandro Nivola (Sir Robert Morton) will join the previously announcedRoger Rees and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio in this Terence Rattigan classic.Zachary Booth, Spencer Davis Milford,Chandler Williams, Meredith Forlenza,Stephen Pilkington, and Henny Russell will round out the cast.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the Broadway cast of The Winslow Boy, starring Tony nominee Michael Cumpsty as 'Desmond Curry', Academy & Tony Award nominee Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio as 'Grace Winslow', Alessandro Nivola as 'Sir Robert Morton' and Tony Award winner Roger Rees as 'Arthur Winslow'.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage the World Premiere of 'Oblivion,' a provocative new play about parents and teenagers, and the gulf that often exists between them, by Carly Mensch, writer for Showtime's 'Nurse Jackie' and 'Weeds,' and directed by Mark Brokaw, currently represented on Broadway with 'Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella.' The coming-of-age comedy-drama runs from August 20 through September 8.
