Dear Evan Hansen's Laura Dreyfuss and Tony-nominated actresses Kathleen Chalfant and Geneva Carr join National New Play Network (NNPN) for a 20th Anniversary benefit reading of a new play Jane Burgoyne by Robert Moulthrop, directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel, at Westside Theatre on April 30th at 7:00 pm. Hosted by Richard Winkler and Jane and JB Harrison, the reading will support NNPN as it continues to revolutionize the new play landscape through its nationally recognized programs and services for artists and organizations. Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) are pleased to announce full casting for Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Dan Cody's Yacht, a new play written by Anthony Giardina and directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes. Rehearsals for the production begin tomorrow, Tuesday, April 17.

Writer Alex Borinsky reunites with the creative team behind Clubbed Thumb's Of Government - director Jeremy Bloom and composer Joe White - for this new piece by their inventive company Rady&Bloom. An arts collective gathers to celebrate their director's birthday; fueled by Moscow Mules, the partygoers sprawl across the apartment, decompressing from their ongoing rehearsal process. They speculate about the end of the world.

Victory Gardens Theater continues its 43rd season with the World Premiere of Lettie, written by Boo Killebrew and directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew. Lettie runs April 6 - May 6, 2018, with the press performance on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 7:30pm at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

In the blue collar Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn sits a rundown neighborhood institution called The Alamo; the last great American bar. Today, with an aging clientele, the place is fighting to keeps it's doors open and the only hope seems to be the arrival of artist/gentrifiers who are moving into the neighborhood and wanting to adopt the bar as an entertainment hangout. Bay Ridge locals and The Alamo regulars don't want to surrender their bar, much less their neighborhood, to these young neo-carpetbaggers. The Alamo paints a humorous and dramatic portrait of eight working class Bay Ridge natives who always seem to find themselves on the front lines of change in America.

Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Casey Reitz, Executive Director) has announced additional casting for the New York Premiere of TRACY LETTS' acclaimed play, MARY PAGE MARLOWE.

Theatre Royal Bath today announces full casting for the UK premiere of Samuel D. Hunter's The Whale. The production will run at the Ustinov Studio from 26 April to 2 June*, with opening night for press on 3 May.

Capital Stage and American Stage come together to share resources, artists, and talent for this production of Marjorie Prime by Jordan Harrison, who also wrote Maple & Vine, and writes for the Netflix Original Series Orange Is The New Black. Marjorie Prime was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 2015 and is directed by Capital Stage's own Founding Artistic Director, Stephanie Gularte. The production stars Capital Stage Associate Artists Janis Stevens (August: Osage County, Macbeth, Master Class) and Jamie Jones (August: Osage County, The Totalitarians, Tribes, Dinner with Friends). Stephanie Gularte founded Capital Stage in 2004, and served as Artistic Director for 10 years. She has now put together a creative team including both American Stage and Capital Stage artists for this production, which will have a run both in St. Pete (March 7 - April 1), as well as in Sacramento at Capital Stage (May 2 - June 3). Press Opening at Capital Stage will be Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 8:00 pm. 

Rebel Theatrical Management, LLC (Harvey Butler, producer), in association with The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture, have announced, today, the cast and the creative team for the New York premiere of the new play Little Rock, written and directed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj. Performances are set to begin Wednesday, May 30, 2018 for a limited run through September 8, 2018 at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street). Opening Night is set for Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 7:00PM.

RATTLESTICK PLAYWRIGHTS THEATER (Daniella Topol, Artistic Director; Annie Middleton, Managing Director) is proud to announce that their annual F*CK!NG GOOD PLAYS FESTIVAL will take place May 7 through May 12 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. The F*CK!NG GOOD PLAYS FESTIVAL is a long-standing tradition at Rattlestick of doing readings of bold new works from Rattlestick Alumni Writers and from Rattlestick's apprentice company, Middle Voice; as well as welcome new writers to Rattlestick for the first time.  On the final day of the F*CK!NG GOOD PLAYS FESTIVAL, Rattlestick will present TheaterJam, a day-long event featuring over 20 writers.

Sundance Institute announces the slate of theatremakers from the U.S. and Middle East / North Africa who will convene at the Theatre Program's second annual Theatre Lab in Morocco next month. The Lab, which will take place from May 6 - 27 at the Fellah Hotel outside Marrakech, comprises three uninterrupted weeks of consultation, mentorship and workshop performance of new work for the stage. The Theatre Lab alternates locations each season, moving between the Sundance Resort in Utah, and a venue in the Middle East/North African region, as part of a multi-year commitment to international work and a means of facilitating cultural exchange between artists. Led by Sundance Institute Theatre Program Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, teams of creative advisors, actors and dramaturgs will collaborate with writers and directors, independent from commercial or public pressures, as they develop their projects.

Middlebury Actors Workshop kicks off its 2018 season with Lucas Hnath's, The Christians, a big-little play about faith in America - and the trouble with changing your mind. It had its New York city premiere at Playwrights Horizons in 2015 and quickly became one of the hottest tickets in town.

Happy opening! THIS FLAT EARTH, directed by Tony Award winner Rebecca Taichman, held its Opening Night at Playwrights Horizons last night! The performance marked the play's World Premiere. Other members of the theatre community, including Lois Smith and Jamie Brewer, joined the cast and crew for last night's celebration.

The Colorado New Play Festival (CNPF) (formerly the Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival) is proud to announce the participating theaters for the 2018 season. The 21st Annual Festival, to be held on June 10-16, 2018 in Steamboat Springs, CO, will develop five new works in partnership with the Actors Theatre of Louisville, Alley Theatre, Curious Theatre Company, Primary Stages, and Victory Gardens Theater.

Acclaimed Off-Broadway theater company Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) will hold its annual Spring Gala on Monday evening, May 7 at 583 Park Avenue. The evening will honor Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Playwrights Musical Theater Fellowship alumnus Robert Lopez, the Academy Award and Grammy Award-winning songwriters of Frozen and Coco.

The Play Company (PlayCo), led by Founding Producer Kate Loewald and Managing Director Robert G. Bradshaw, today announces the complete cast for Toshiki Okada's Time's Journey Through a Room, marking PlayCo's third collaboration with Okada, translator Aya Ogawa, and director Dan Rothenberg, May 10 - June 10, 2018. This haunting play, set in post-Fukushima Japan, will star three Japanese born performers, all of whom are now based in New York: Yuki Kawahisa (Honoka), Maho Honda (Arisa) and Kensaku Shinohara (Kazuki). The play is both an intimate examination of how we move forward from life-altering events, and a study of how we experience time, asking whether we can ever be alive to the present moment. 

Following a well-attended and critically-acclaimed inaugural year, Corkscrew Theater Festival returns for a second annual season, running July 9 - August 5 at the Paradise Factory (64 East 4th Street, Manhattan). This summer theater festival provides early-career artists with a high level of production support and features five world premieres and four readings performed in repertory over four weeks. Special attention has been given to theater makers who are developing work through robust and innovative collaborative models.
