People's Light & Theatre Company presents KING LEAR, by William Shakespeare, from March 3 - 28, 2010 on the Main Stage.

It's a completely winning production from top to bottom: Osborne's direction is sure-handed and confident, his players' readings of their roles pitch-perfect and the technical elements and design aesthetic for the piece are delightfully on-target. It's essential, of course, in a comedy of British origins for the pacing to be quick, effortless and skilled or else the whole blessed thing becomes a bloody mess. Osborne obviously approaches the play with affection and skill, assembling a strong cast of players to bring Coward's near-iconic characters to life.

The DC area stages' theatre choices in March are dizzying! There's a new play by Terrence McNally at the Kennedy Center, and an off-Broadway gem at Signature Theatre. Adam Guettel's gorgeous Tony Award-winning harmonies will fill Arena Stage in Crystal City. Fagin and his orphans and zaftig Edna Turnblad and her daughter Tracy - will be singing and dancing at Toby's Dinner Theatre in Baltimore and Columbia, MD, and a blood-thirsty musical will be establishing roots at Ford's Theatre. The Today Show's 'Great TV Families Reunited' segment recently reunited the cast of the hit series 'Eight is Enough' to reminisce about the family-friendly series and the appeal it held for TV audiences. The show starred Betty Buckley and Dick Van Patten.

? Beckie Menzie & Tom Michael celebrate their 10th anniversary as one of Chicago's most beloved musical duos with That 60's Show. Marking the 50th anniversary of the decade that forever revolutionized popular music, Menzie and Michael's new show will feature songs by many of that era's favorite performers including The Beatles, The Supremes, The Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley, Petula Clark and many more performed in the duo's award winning style.

Tony Award winner Betty Buckley will perform a series of concerts at Feinstein's at Loews Regency throughout February of 2010. Performances will begin February 2nd and run through the 27th. No details for the concerts have yet been announced.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Broadway star Sutton Foster will be appearing on an episode of Law and Order: SVU on March 3, 2009. Law and Order: SVU airs on NBC Wednesdays at 9pm EST.

By popular demand, Gay Marshall -BILLBOARD Top World Music Artist and Playbill Top 10 Diva - will reprise her stunning concert series - PIAF: Queen of Heart - at New York's Metropolitan Room this winter. The show schedule is Thursdays, February 18th and 25th, March 4th, 11th and 18th at 7:30 PM.

There was a lot of purple hair and glitter in the house when Scott Mason, a Dame Edna look-a-like from Delaware, was named the Dame's Honorary Understudy Wednesday morning at Henry Miller's Theatre.
