The Hollywood Fringe Festival's 2015 season includes the world premiere of POP! THE MUSICAL, an '80s themed musical with an exciting original score from the Los Angeles based writing duo of twin brothers Geoffrey and Sam Rose (aka Roze Broze) and directed by award winning director Barry Pearl, most familiar to worldwide audiences for portraying 'Doody' in Paramount's now cult classic film "Grease."

Acclaimed songwriter Scott Alan returns to London for a two-week residency at The Hippodrome Casino. Featuring a different guest each night, the nine concerts will celebrate Alan's work in nights filled with heartfelt songs, the stories behind them and many surprises.

When it comes to Hollywood gossip and celebrity blunders, she's outrageously wild and downright hilarious! Two-time Emmy winner, NY Times best-selling author, five-time Grammy nominee, and Broadway darling KATHY GRIFFIN makes a South Bend appearance at the Morris Performing arts Center on Sunday, November 15, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at $38.50, $48.50 and $58.50 and go on sale Friday, June 19, at 10:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at The Morris Box Office, by phone at 574-235-9190 or 800-537-6415, or online at www.MorrisCenter.org. BAD WITH MONEY, Ben Rimalower's new play about spending beyond his means -- performed in rep with his first piece PATTI ISSUES -- will conclude its run at The Duplex (61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue) on June 21.

Contemporary musical theatre writer Zack Zadek offers an evening of story-driven synthpop performed by vocalists from Broadway and pop-rock recording artists. Zadek will co-lead a full-piece band with Broadway Orchestrator and Musical Director Charlie Rosen (The Visit, Honeymoon in Vegas, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band). Max Friedman directs. Valerie Novakoff produces.

The 71st Annual Theatre World Awards -- the first award created in 1945 to recognize a debut theatre performance on or off-Broadway -- will be honoring the legacy of Betty Comden and On The Town with a special recognition for 'Outstanding Contribution to the Theatre World.' The 71st Annual Theatre World Awards will take place tonight, June 1, 2015 at Broadway's Lyric Theatre (213 W. 42nd St, New York, NY 10036).

Artists Repertory Theatre will bring its 2014/15 season to close with The Liar, an adaptation of Pierre Cornielle's 17th Century French comedy from the brilliant mind of David Ives, a playwright best known for hilarious adaptations and plays such as All In The Timing and Venus in Fur.

Eddie Cooper and Joe Grifasi will join the previously announced Ellen Greene, Jake Gyllenhaal and Taran Killam in the Encores! Off-Center concert production of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken's Little Shop of Horrors, running for three performances, July 1-2, 2015 at New York City Center. Eddie Cooper replaces his father Chuck Cooper, who will be starring in the upcoming Broadway musical Amazing Grace.

New York is about 500 miles from Cleveland. Several times a year I wander forth to see the bright lights of Broadway and venture into some theatres. This spring, during a period of a rash of show openings, I had the chance to see some excellent offerings.
