Today, The Cleveland Orchestra is launching its third collection of full-length concerts on TCO Classics, Summer Nights, highlighting some of the ensemblea??s most memorable performances across its first half-century at Blossom Music Center.

Today, The Cleveland Orchestra launches its second collection of concert audio recordings on TCO Classics, featuring performances recorded live at Severance Hall during the Orchestra's celebrated Prometheus Project - a festival dedicated to the exploration of Ludwig van Beethoven's music that closed out the ensemble's Centennial Season in 2018

On Thursday, June 18, 2020, The Cleveland Orchestra launches TCO Classics, a new series of free, on-demand full-length concert recordings available for online streaming.  This new series offers music-lovers around the world a new opportunity to enjoy great performances from the Orchestra's extensive recorded archives.  Selected from across six decades of live concert recordings, the series can be listened to at clevelandorchestra.com/classics.

The American Composers Forum (ACF) and New Music USA will jointly receive the League of American Orchestras' highest honor, the Gold Baton, the League announced today.

The New York Philharmonic will present Mahler's New York: A Digital Festival - a two-week celebration of the composer / conductor who spent time in New York as the Philharmonic's tenth Music Director (1909-11) - April 16-30, 2020, at nyphil.org/mahlerny.

Today marks the release of Music Director Thierry Fischer and the Utah Symphony's new all-Berlioz album on Hyperion Records. The recording features a varied selection from Berlioz's oeuvre, including his best-known work, Symphonie fantastique. The album also includes Rêverie et caprice for violin and orchestra, recorded with Philippe Quint when he was the orchestra's Artist-in-Association, and two poetry settings for orchestra and chorus, La mort d'Ophélie and Sara la baigneuse, which were recorded with the Utah Symphony Chorus and University of Utah Chamber Choir. Orders are now available via Hyperion Records and retailers including Amazon and iTunes.

The Cleveland Institute of Music announced yesterday that acclaimed conductor, composer and educator Michael Tilson Thomas will be awarded an honorary doctorate at the school's 95th Commencement Ceremony in Kulas Hall on Saturday, May 16 at 10am EDT. Attendance is by invitation only, but a live stream will be available via cim.edu. Yesterday's announcement was given at a special MTT-led rehearsal of the CIM Orchestra at Severance Hall, home of The Cleveland Orchestra, which MTT also conducts February 20-23.

The works of Dai Fujikura are performed with regularity by conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel and by some of the most acclaimed orchestras and ensembles in the world.

This February, Lincoln Center will present a plethora of music, dance, theater, and panel events across the campus and beyond. David Rubenstein Atrium continues to offer free programming, consisting of diverse live performances, and panel conversations. The 2019-20 season of LC Kids (October 5a?"June 7, 2020) is in full swing with free and ticketed events developed for toddlers, children, and teenagers stepping into young adulthood. The third and final volume of Utah Symphony's Saint-Saëns recording series is released digitally and on disc by Hyperion Records on Friday, November 29. Conducted by Music Director Thierry Fischer, this collection includes the first commercial recordings of the complete Saint-Saëns symphonies by an American orchestra, and each volume also looks beyond the composer's symphonic output to include additional orchestral highlights in his oeuvre. The new album features Symphony No. 1 in E-flat major; Symphony in A major, written when the child-prodigy composer was only 15 years old; and The Carnival of the Animals. Mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato returns to Carnegie Hall for a series of Perspectives concerts throughout the 2019-2020 season, highlighting her full range of vocal artistry as well as her work as an educator.

Santtu-Matias Rouvali will make his New York Philharmonic debut conducting the New York Premiere of Bryce Dessner's Wires, featuring the composer (lead guitarist of The National) on electric guitar in his Philharmonic debut; Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet, Overture-Fantasy; and Sibelius's Symphony No. 1. The program will take place on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, November 15 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, November 16 at 8:00 p.m.

On Friday, November 1, 2019 at 7:30pm, Carnegie Hall presents celebrated South African soprano Golda Schultz in her Carnegie Hall recital debut in Weill Recital Hall with frequent collaborator, pianist Jonathan Ware. Part of Carnegie Hall's series Great Singers III: Evenings of Song, the recital features Schubert's 'Der Morgenkuss,a?? 'Heimliches Lieben,' 'Der Vollmond strahlt auf Bergeshöh'n' (Romanze) from Rosamunde, and Suleika I and II; Richard Strauss' 'Morgen,' 'Heimliche Aufforderung,' 'Ruhe, meine Seele,' and 'Cäcilie;a?? An unprecedented lineup of stellar Canadian singers will take part in the Neil Crory Tribute Concert, an extraordinary celebration of music and the human voice in honour of the legendary CBC Music producer, mentor, impresario, colleague, and friend who died on January 10 at the age of 68. Prominent singers whose careers Crory nurtured, including Phillip Addis, Isabel Bayrakdarian, Isaiah  Bell, Benjamin Butterfield, Tracy Dahl, Nathalie Paulin, Brett Polegato, Jean Stilwell, Krisztina Szabó, Daniel Taylor, Erin Wall, and Monica Whicher, will perform selections from the music most cherished by Crory at 7 PM on Friday, October 11 at Jeanne Lamon Hall, Trinity-St. Paul's Centre. The Neil Crory Tribute Concert includes the participation of CBC Radio-Canada personalities Ben Heppner, Eric Friesen, and Françoise Davoine and will be recorded by CBC Radio Music for future broadcast. Carnegie Hall today announced that the all-Schubert recital originally scheduled to be performed by pianist Mitsuko Uchida on April 30 has been rescheduled for a new date, Tuesday, June 18 at 8:00 p.m., in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. The recital program remains as planned and will include Schubert's Piano Sonata in E-flat Major, D. 568; Piano Sonata in A Minor, D. 784; and Piano Sonata in A Major, D. 959. Tickets for the original April 30 recital at Carnegie Hall will be honored for the newly-scheduled June 18 date.

Boston Court Pasadena continues its mission of fostering new musical talent with the 3rd Annual Emerging Artists Series, May 30 June 9, 2019. The series will feature up-and-coming pianists, as well as vocalists who have been through a rigorous mentoring curriculum with some of Los Angeles' most prominent musicians and coaches including Mark Robson, Gloria Cheng, Lisa Sylvester, Vicki Ray, Brent McMunn and Paul Floyd.
