Harrington, Lawrence, MacKay & More Set For A BATTLE OF WALLS 5/31-6/21

Cause Célèbre, a not-for-profit theater dedicated to causes and charity, proudly announces the launch of Part-Time Productions and its inaugural presentation, A Battle of Wills: Internal and External. This debut production, presented in association with The New Group, is an evening of three one-act playsfeaturing award-winning actors, writers and directors. Performances will run consecutive Sundays from May31 - June 21 at The Acorn @ Theatre Row. Complete schedule and cast line-up is listed below.

The Joffrey Ballet Comes To Civic Center 9/11 For One Night Only Benefit Show

The University of Iowa's Hancher Auditorium and the Civic Center are partnering to bring The Joffrey Ballet to the Civic Center on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009. The Joffrey Ballet, which has a longtime partnership with Hancher Auditorium, and the Civic Center reached out to Hancher after the devastating floods last summer offering their assistance. The result is a one-night-only benefit performance in support of Hancher Auditorium.

The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the Shakespeare in the Park production of TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Daniel Sullivan and featuring the previously announced Anne Hathaway as Viola. TWELFTH NIGHT will run June 10-July 12 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park with an official press opening on Thursday, June 25 at 8 p.m. Bank of America will return as lead sponsor of Shakespeare in the Park 2009.

Chicago Opera Theater's LA TRAGEDIE DE CARMEN Plays At Harris Theater 5/2-5/15

Chicago Opera Theater's second opera of their 2009 Spring Festival Season is La Tragédie de Carmen, a 90 minute adaptation of Georges Bizet's Carmen by Marius Constant, Jean-Claude Carrière, and Peter Brook. La Tragèdie de Carmen runs May 2nd through May 15th at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park.

Final Programming Announced For Ojai Music Fest 6/11-6/14

Morris, artistic director of the Ojai Music Festival and Ojai's 2009 music director eighth blackbird have announced the final programming for the 2009 Ojai Music Festival, which takes place from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, June 14, 2009. Lincoln Center Festival 09 Line-up Announced, Runs 7/7-7/26

Nigel Redden, Festival Director, today announced the presentations for Lincoln Center Festival 09, which runs from July 7 through July 26, 2009 and offers 56 performances by artists and ensembles from 14 countries. The three-week Lincoln Center Festival 09-boasting 14 North American, U.S., and New York premieres and debuts-will unfold in six venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus, including Alice Tully Hall, where dance will be presented, and Park Avenue Armory, where the Festival returns for a second summer. Tickets will go on sale for all events on March 13.

Cuba's Art Schools & Opera In Progress

The University of Miami Frost School of Music continues the Stamps Family Distinguished Visitors Series with Anthony Davis, Dafnis Prieto, and Charles Koppelman. They will be 'In Conversation,' discussing their opera-in- progress, Revolution of Forms. The opera examines the rise and fall of Cuba's National Art Schools. The work is presented through the eyes of architect Ricardo Porro, who helped design these national schools.
