SOMETHING ROTTEN! is Coming to Cleveland!

The completely original new musical Something Rotten!, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award and Tony Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Tony Award nominees Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, opens at Playhouse Square April 25 for a limited three week run.

Pioneer Theatre Company continues its popular concert series with Chess, written by members of the pop music group ABBA, running for three performances only, March 10 - March 11, 2017 at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre.

Pioneer Theatre Company will present the concert version of CHESS (with scripts-in-hand and an onstage orchestra), running for three performances only, March 10 to March 11, 2017. Florence, the woman at the center of a dangerous love triangle, will be played by Coleen Sexton, who had her Broadway debut at 19 when she played Lucy in JEKYLL & HYDE (DVD cast). Sexton was excited to share with BroadwayWorld her thoughts about the production.

Broadway In Boston announced today that tickets for the national tour of the hilarious new musical Something Rotten!, will go on sale to the public this Sunday, September 11, 2016.  Boston will be the official launch city of the Something Rotten! tour with a limited two week engagement at the Boston Opera House January 17-29, 2017 as part of the 2016/2017 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.  Something Rotten! is directed and choreographed by Tony® Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy® Award winner and Tony® Award nominee Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe® Award and Tony® Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick. The completely original new musical Something Rotten!, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award and Tony Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Tony Award nominees Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, opens at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts March 21, 2017 for a limited two week run through April 2, 2017. Tickets will go on sale Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.

BWW Review: Beth Leavel Boffo @ Birth of The Black Box Broadway Series

Tony Award-winner Beth Leavel launched the Broadway Series at The Black Box at the Franklin Performing Arts Company in a boffo one-night-only concert, accompanied on piano by Musical Director Phil Reno. The star was joined onstage by five young FPAC vocalists who portend a bright future for musical theatre.

Rob McClure, Adam Pascal and Josh Grisetti Will Tour the Country with SOMETHING ROTTEN!

Producer Kevin McCollum  just announced casting for the National Tour of Something Rotten!, the ten-time Tony-Award nominated smash hit musical comedy. Three of the current Broadway principals will be reprising their roles on tour: Rob McClure as Nick Bottom, Adam Pascal as Shakespeare and Josh Grisetti as Nigel Bottom.

Eric Sciotto Will Step in as Shakespeare in SOMETHING ROTTEN!

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, SOMETHING ROTTEN!'s current cod-piece clad Shakespeare -- Will Chase -- will depart the show on October 9, and will be replaced temporarily by understudy Eric Sciotto. Sciotto will assume the role through October 23. A permanent replacement has not yet been announced.
