Without them, the action remains stagebound and static. A choreographer allows your heart to soar along with the performers onstage, making musical comedy all the more compelling and transformative. Two time Tony Award-winning Goodspeed Musicals, under the leadership of Michael P. Price, is thrilled to announce the 2011 musical season at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. The 48th season includes three fantastic musicals that are sure to delight theatregoers: the tap dance filled Gershwin tuner My One And Only will run from April 15 - June 25; the monumental American classic Show Boat featuring such memorable songs as 'Ol' Man River', and 'Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man' will run from July 1 - September 11; and the film noir style musical comedy City of Angels will run from September 23 - November 27.

The evening was directed by Tony-winning director/lyricist/librettist Richard Maltby and the award was presented by Alice Hammerstein Mathias, daughter of Oscar Hammerstein II.
