Under the leadership and guidance of McArt, this program develops new plays by highly acclaimed playwrights through staged readings.

In the hallowed halls of Lynn University's Wold Performing Arts Center, where the New York-bound 'Daniel's Husband' began, they're buzzing about another new play - 'A KING ! A PLOT! A GUN! A SHOT! And All That Followed (Quite a Lot!),' by Tony Finstrom.

Lynn University and Producer Jan McArt, director of theatre arts program development, are announcing the upcoming series of Jan McArt's New Play Readings. Under the leadership and guidance of McArt, this program develops new plays by highly acclaimed playwrights through staged readings.

These are the plays that comprise the 2016-17 'Jan McArt New Play Readings' series, to be presented at Boca Raton's Lynn University beginning Halloween night, Monday, October 31st.

Lynn University and Producer Jan McArt, director of theatre arts program development, will present the final two Jan McArt's New Play Readings during March and April. Under the leadership and guidance of McArt, this program develops new plays by highly acclaimed playwrights through staged readings held in the beautiful Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center, located on Lynn's campus in Boca Raton.

One week after that read-through 'THE VIVIAN VANCE STORY,' Weinberger's new play, will be presented as a fully Staged Reading for one night only, at 7:30 PM on Monday, November 2nd, 2015, in Lynn University's Wold Performing Arts Center, as part of Jan McArt's New Play Reading Series.

'We haven't seen the finished script yet,' says Jan McArt, Florida's First Lady of Theater, who heads theater development at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. 'We won't see it till the first day of rehearsals, when our playwright turns it in.'
