BWW Reviews: THE CIDER HOUSE RULES, PART ONE from Book-It

Book-It Repertory Theatre finishes off their 20th anniversary season by revisiting one of their earlier works, "The Cider House Rules, Part One: Here in St. Clouds" based on the novel by John Irving. And while only half of the story is represented here, the show is a fully realized and wondrous piece of theater.

Book-It Presents THE CIDER HOUSE RULES, PART ONE Beginning 6/9

The Cider House Rules has a special place in Book-It's history as the first full-length novel adapted in the Book-It StyleTM, and as a turning-point undertaking that helped the once fledgling company establish itself firmly in the Seattle theatre community. The company is thrilled to celebrate its 20th Anniversary season with both Parts One and Two of The Cider House Rules. The Cider House Rules, Part One: Here in St. Clouds plays on Book-It Repertory Theatre's stage at the Center House Theatre June 9 to July 11, 2010. Part Two will take the stage to open the company's 2010-11 season next September.

TRUMPERY Plays Olney Theatre Center 6/9-7/4

'If I finish the book, I'm a killer,' Charles Darwin says in Trumpery about The Origin of Species. 'I murder God.' Trumpery, written by Peter Parnell, plays the Mainstage June 9 through July 4. Tickets are $26 to $54, with discounts available to groups, seniors, military, and students.

DUSK RINGS A BELL Plays Atlantic Theater Company, 5/19-6/20

Dusk Rings a Bell, written by Stephen Belber will be performed at Atlantic Stage 2 as Atlantic Theater Company's final production of the season. The play will be directed by Sam Gold and will run May 19-June 20. Performances take place Tuesday-Saturday at 7:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 PM.
