Featured artists include: Peter Mills with Kate Baldwin and Matt Cavanaugh (Feb. 8); Ryan Scott Oliver with Jay Armstrong Johnson, Alex Brightman, and Lindsay Mendez (Feb. 9); Steven Lutvak (Feb. 10); Alan Schmuckler and Michael Mahler with Abby Mueller (Feb. 11); Jordan Beck and Jonathan May with Mazie Wilson and Baraka May Williams (Feb. 12); and Valerie Vigoda and Brendan Milburn (Feb. 13). Sometimes, Christmas vacations come at a terribly inconvenient time. For a personal example, I left New York for the holidays just as Prospect Theater Company's newest musical, Evergreen, debuted. As such, I only got to attend the show on the day it closed. This is somewhat of a tragedy, because given the opportunity, I would have returned several times and encouraged the rest of New York to do the same.
On Monday, November 30, The Fred Ebb Foundation in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company presented the fifth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich.
