Huntington Theatre Company concludes its 2013-2014 Season with Smart People, a sharp and provocative new comedy by Huntington Playwriting Fellow Lydia R. Diamond. Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois (The Power of Duff) helms the newest play from the author of the Huntington's 2010 hit production of Stick Fly. Performances of Smart People began at the South End / Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA on May 23. Due to popular demand, the run has been extended to Sunday, June 29, 2014.

Huntington Theatre Company, the 2013 recipient of the Regional Theatre Tony Award and Boston magazine's Best Theatre of 2013, announces that a new stage adaptation of the Academy Award-winning film Guess Who's Coming to Dinner will kick off the 2014-2015 Season with performances beginning September 5. Springfield Central High School student Courtney Stewart was named Massachusetts's 2014 Poetry Out Loud Champion Sunday at Boston's Old South Meetinghouse, repeating his victory from 2013. The sophomore bested 23 other finalists including the 2012 winner, Stephanie Igharosa from Randolph High School, who was named first runner-up. Second runner-up was Darlande Joseney from Avon Middle High School.
