Our 2009-2010 season is teeming with new works, we are proud to bring you THREE Midwest Premieres, each uniquely compelling pieces of theater that reflect the decisions we face and the pursuit of what it means to live fully in the 21st Century! RGA Productions presents Frankenstein, a concert and rock music telling of the iconic Mary Shelley tale featuring a Grand Rock style that evokes the sound of Pink Floyd, Evanescense, Alan Parsons Projects, Metallica, Stravinsky & Bartok.

The Southwark Playhouse will feature four new short horror plays, mixed with 'magic, cabaret and other oddities' to premiere during the Halloween season dubbed the theater's Terror Season. This year features plays by Neil LaBute, Mark Ravenhill, Lucy Kirkwood and Anthony Neilson.

The French government has bestowed the prestigious award of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) on Chicago Shakespeare Theater Executive Director Criss Henderson. Performances run June 2-14 at 3LD (80 Greenwich Street at Rector Street -- accessible from the 1 train at Rector Street).

Fern Kershon and Orange Thought Productions will present Heart of the City, a new play by Eric Lane, directed by Martha Banta, featuring Eliza Foss, Scott Kerns, Marcia Jean Kurtz, Martin LaPlatney, Melissa Miller and Mark Setlock. Performances will begin Thursday June 11th at the Theatre at 30th Street, for a limited engagement.

Theater Mitu presents the New York Premiere of DR.C (OR HOW I LEARNED TO ACT IN EIGHT STEPS) beginning previews June 2nd at 3LD Art and Technology Center. Created by the company and directed by Rubén Polendo, opening night is set for June 4th.

Lincoln Center Festival 09 proudly presents top theater companies from France, Hungary, Italy, Poland, and Russia, whose productions will be a special focus of this year's Festival. There will be four US and three New York production premieres.
