Bay Area Cabaret, the local non-profit organization devoted to presenting audiences with top performers who expand the definition of cabaret, has announced its lineup for the 2012-2013 season. Opening the season Sunday, October 28, 2012 is Motown legend and founding member of "Supremes," Mary Wilson, followed Sunday, November 11, 2012 by 9-time Tony Award winning singer/dancer/director/choreographer Tommy Tune, and December 9, 2012 by television, film, and Broadway star Peter Gallagher. The series continues in 2013 with "Broadway's golden couple," Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley on February 17, 2013, "Britain's first lady of musical theatre" Elaine Paige on March 1, 2013, and a performance by singer/actress Nellie McKay featuring San Francisco's Grammy-winning a capella male chorus Chanticleer on March 23, 2013. Rounding out the season is a tribute to the late Marvin Hamlisch, with special guests to be announced, on June 2, 2013, which would have been the legendary composer's 69th birthday, with special guests to be announced.

A fabulous cast and top-notch direction by Roque Berlanga make SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE hotter than ever, as Allenberry Playhouse continues its winning streak.

O Sole Trio, one of New York City's leading cabaret acts, with soprano Erin Shields and baritone Giuseppe Spoletini, vocals; and David Shenton, piano and violin; will be bringing their exhilarating and unique show that captures the essence of Italy and features a program that showcases a cornucopia of beloved Italian opera arias, popular Neapolitan songs as well as jazz standards made popular by such singers as Louis Prima, Dean Martin, Peggy Lee and Rosemary Cloney, to various venues throughout New York and New Jersey.

The Kennedy Center hosts its 11th annual Page-to-Stage new play festival from today, September 1, 2012 to Monday, September 3, 2012, featuring more than 40 theaters from the D.C. metropolitan area, all with a mission to produce and support new work. The three-day, Center-wide event offers a series of free readings and open rehearsals of plays and musicals being developed by local, regional, and national playwrights, librettists, and composers.

The Grand Theatre's new "Backstage at The Grand" Concert Series will kick off on September 13 by presenting "Songs of Peggy Lee" performed by Erica Hansen.

The RRazz Room, San Francisco's premier nightclub, presents the return of San Francisco chanteuse Veronica Klaus with an encore of her critically acclaimed show featuring the music of Peggy Lee. The two shows, tonight, August 24 and tomorrow night August 25 at 10:00 PM, will help celebrate her new CD "Something Cool."

Madeleine Peyroux takes the stage at Three Stages. Opening the concert is Rebecca Pidgeon. The evening takes place tonight, Aug 23, 2012.

The screening will celebrate the life of The King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley, while simultaneously commemorating the 35th Anniversary of the late singer's passing.

Actress, singer, activist turned hypnotherapist Helen Reddy was named the Queen of 70s Pop. In 1973 she had three No. 1 hit tunes, including of course 'I Am Woman', which she co-wrote herself, not finding at that time a single song to record that satisfied her feminine wiles. Now living in Australia, Reddy seems relaxed, content, but still eager, like Norma Desmond, to 'return' to the biz, singing.
