Broadway's Kevin Csolak And Danette Holden To Host Shine On Holiday Cabaret

Sunday, November 25th at 7:00pm Broadway vets, Kevin Csolak, currently in Tina Fey's Mean Girls on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre and Danette Holden who was last seen in New York City in the acclaimed Off Broadway production of Cagney will host the return of Hunterdon's Stangl Stage Holiday Cabaret; Shine On! The annual 'home for the holidays' event will feature multigenerational homegrown Hunterdon County talent making their mark on the world stage on Broadway, in the music industry, in film, television and more.

Will Roland Heads Cast Of Benefit Reading Of LOVE LETTERS

Will Roland (Broadway's 'Dear Evan Hansen') will head a cast of four in an innovative reading of 'Love Letters' by A.R. Gurney on December 9 at Feinstein's/54 Below.  The reading is organized by Getting Together for Good, a charitable giving circle, to benefit the Ric Swezey Memorial Library, a program of The Family Equality Council, which supports and protects LGBTQ families through education, advocacy, and legal initiatives. 

Juilliard Dance Presents New Dances: Edition 2018

Juilliard Dance, under the leadership of Alicia Graf Mack, opens its season with New Dances: Edition 2018 featuring four world-premiere dances by innovative choreographers Marcus Jarrell Willis (whose dance features the first-year class); Nelly van Bommel (featuring the second-year class); Juilliard alumnus Peter Chu (featuring the third-year class); and Stefanie Batten Bland (featuring the fourth-year class). Each choreographer works with one of the classes for the semester creating the new work; all Juilliard's dancers participate in the New Dances program.

State Theatre New Jersey Presents Parsons Dance

State Theatre New Jersey presents Parsons Dance today, November 15, 2018 at 8pm. The program includes Wolfgang by David Parsons, The Duet from Finding Center by David Parsons, Ma Maison by Trey McIntyre, Microburst by David Parsons, Caught by David Parsons, and Whirlaway by David Parsons. Tickets range from $19-49.

Calpulli Mexican Dance Company Presents NAVIDAD: A MEXICAN-AMERICAN CHRISTMAS

Calpulli Mexican Dance Company is developing a new production by Artistic Director Alberto Lopez Herrera and Co-Founder Juan Castaño celebrating the holiday traditions experienced by a young person of Mexican immigrant parents growing up in New York City that will be presented at the Thalia Spanish Theatre from November 30 through December 16, 2018. From Aztec-inspired dance to Christmas carols, the youngster tries to bring their two worlds together. In a dream, they imagine the fusion of Mariachi music with Tchaikovsky, folk dance with ballet, and the wonderment of their two cultures. But a tempting character preaches the separation of these customs, and the youngster must choose. The company of 16 dancers and core of musicians led by Calpulli's Music Director George Saenz return to the Thalia Spanish Theatre with "NAVIDAD: A Mexican-American Christmas." The entirely new program tells a story with commissioned works by Mexican and Mexican-American guest choreographers with new musical arrangements and original works.

Guest Resident Choreographer Pam Tanowitz Choreographs New Work of Bach

Pam Tanowitz has begun to choreograph a dance on the Paul Taylor Dance Company (PTDC) to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach as a Guest Resident Choreographer of Paul Taylor American Modern Dance (PTAMD). Ms. Tanowitz was selected by Paul Taylor prior to his death in August. Her new work will premiere as part of Orchestra of St. Luke's Bach Festival next June, and will then be part of PTAMD's Fall Lincoln Center Season.

BWW Review: THE 2018 WORLD CHOREOGRAPHY AWARDS OCTOBER 23, 2018 at The Saban Theatre

Produced and Presented by Cheryl Baxter-Ratliff and Allen Walls, in association with Break The Floor and held at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, CA, there was an overwhelming turnout within the Dance Community to this event. There were reportedly 1,400 people attending. It was a spectacular evening! The all -inclusive 8th Annual WORLD CHOREOGRAPHY AWARDS. Because this is the 8th Annual Awards Ceremony, I feel a change has evolved regarding categories up for Awards. Wider acceptance of all forms of Dance, Interpretive Movement, new forms of technology and genres not considered previously. All-Inclusive is a modern term, but it's great to see that the WCA is embracing and incorporating so many more possibilities that qualify for our consideration.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Announces 60th Anniversary Season

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, New York City Center's Principal Dance Company, returns to the theater's stage from November 28 - December 30, 2018 for a milestone season. During the Company's Ailey Ascending 60th Anniversary celebration, Artistic Director Robert Battle leads Ailey's 32 extraordinary dancers during this five-week holiday engagement that will elevate a legacy of excellence in artistry with premieres by some of today's most revered and prolific choreographers, including world premieres by Rennie Harris and Ronald K. Brown; a company premiere by Wayne McGregor; a new production of by Robert Battle; the return of a recent premiere by Jessica Lang, and special performances of rarely seen works by Alvin Ailey himself.

BWW Review: Captivating Audiences Once Again with GARTH FAGAN DANCE

October 30, 2018 kicked of the return of Garth Fagan Dance to New York City. Their season at The Joyce Theater was full of new work and old revivals. The Watermill Theatre Announces New Season Including UK Premiere Of AMELIE

The Watermill Theatre's new season, announced today by Artistic Director, Paul Hart, includes the UK premiere of AMELIE, a new production of Shakespeare's MACBETH from the Watermill Ensemble, the revival of hit comedy MURDER FOR TWO, a lively adaptation of an Oscar Wilde classic and two premieres.
