Abrons Arts Center is pleased to announce the extension of 2015 MacArthur Fellow Basil Twist's Sisters' Follies: Between Two Worlds.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton, and its Youth, Education and Community Programs department, under the leadership of Kathryn Humphreys, are pleased to offer a Professional Development Institute comprised of twelve diverse events throughout the 2015-16 academic year, designed for studio and classroom educators, teaching artists, undergraduate and graduate students.

Eryc Taylor Dance will present the U.S. premiere of The Exhibit, a new immersive evening of dance featuring five contemporary dance works, running for six performances, October 15 - 18, 2015 at The Alchemical Theatre Laboratory, 104 W. 14th Street, The Exhibit features five works with multiple narratives, choreographed by Eryc Taylor in collaboration with company members. The pieces will be performed consecutively in one large performance space; the standing audience will be free to move about and follow the dancers to different areas of the room to witness the pieces from various perspectives.

Four of the most sought-after world-class dance companies delighted a sold-out audience at the Historic Catskill Point on October 10, 2015, as Dancers Responding to AIDS presented Hudson Valley Dance Festival. The evening featured captivating performances by Brian Brooks Moving Company, The Chase Brock Experience, Jessica Lang Dance and Martha Graham Dance Company. Performed on the banks of the Hudson River, Hudson Valley Dance Festival (#hvdance) raised $125,555 for Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Fall for Dance continued to marvel audiences with its third program. A cultural treasure for New York, Fall for Dance allows audiences access to some of the field's greatest visionaries from around the globe. The third program included a variety of pieces from passionate street dance to pristine ballet that captured the audience's attention all evening.

Ballet Idaho announced that two company members have been promoted to the rank of principal dancer. Elizabeth Keller and Adrienne Kerr join returning principal dancers Phyllis Affrunti and Andrew Taft, along with 15 other company members and three apprentices/trainees to complete the roster for the 2015/16 season.

LOOT, a 1965 satirical farce -- a bizarre, dark parody of an English drawing room comedy -- by British enfant terrible Joe Orton, is a difficult production. Desert Rose Playhouse, in Rancho Mirage, California, pulls it off. Excellent acting and directing result in a great deal of hilarity.
