Juilliard Dance's Season to Open with NEW DANCES: EDITION 2017

Juilliard Dance, under the leadership of acting artistic director Taryn Kaschock Russell, opens its season in December with New Dances: Edition 2017 featuring four world-premiere dances created for Juilliard students by choreographers Bryan Arias (first-year class), Gentian Doda (second-year class), Roy Assaf (third-year class), and Gustavo Ram rez Sansano (fourth-year class). The works are Bryan Arias' The Sky Seen From the Moon; Gentian Doda's This Silence; Roy Assaf's 25 People; and Gustavo Ramirez Sansano's A Thousand Thoughts.

Following spectacular fall programming like the triple-header of Mozart's Requiem this weekend and a very special Jazz @ The Jacobs series kickoff on Nov. 25, The First Lady of Song: An Ella Fitzgerald Tribute, the San Diego Symphony is set to deliver a particularly memorable holiday season with special festive concerts throughout December and into the new year. Bernard Labadie Makes First NYC Appearance With Orchestra Of St. Luke's

The second of Orchestra of St. Luke's Carnegie Hall series concerts this season takes place on Thursday, December 7 at 8PM in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. Leading the Ensemble in a program of works by Kraus, Mozart, and Beethoven is Bernard Labadie making his Orchestra of St. Luke's New York City debut as the Principal Conductor Designate. Bernard Labadie's appointment as Principal Conductor of OSL was announced in May 2017 and he will officially assume the post at the start of the ensemble's 2018/2019 season.

Josh Prince's Broadway Dance Lab Launches Today

Broadway Dance Lab (BDL), a choreographic incubator supporting new works of dance-driven theatre, has announced that Brook Wendle (Paramour, Gossip Girl), Caleb Teicher (Dance Magazine's 25 to Watch ), Abdul Latif (Lincoln Center Institute artist-in-residence), and Katie Rose McLaughlin (Designated Movement Company), will join artistic director Josh Prince as choreographers for the company's Fall 2017 Cycle. The Lab is set to begin on Oct. 30, and will run through Dec. 15.

DRACULA, Accompanied by Kronos Quartet, to Haunt Segerstrom Center

The Philharmonic Society of Orange County and Segerstrom Center for the Arts will co-present Tod Browning's 1931 film classic DRACULA starring Bela Lugosi with original music by Philip Glass performed live by the legendary composer at the piano, the Grammy Award-winning Kronos Quartet, with Michael Riesman directing from the keyboard.
