It occurred to me recently that when Gillian and I talk about 'The Residuals', we naturally focus on the aspects of the process that we're most excited about. This is, I'm sure, as it should be. Recently, the That'll Play Podcast with Matt Candela and John Nuzzi took the show to Broadway for their first live episode from the New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan! The Costume Institute's spring 2015 exhibition, China: Through the Looking Glass, will be on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from today, May 7 through August 16, 2015 (preceded on May 4 by The Costume Institute Benefit). Presented in the Museum's Chinese Galleries and Anna Wintour Costume Center, the exhibition will explore the impact of Chinese aesthetics on Western fashion and how China has fueled the fashionable imagination for centuries. In this collaboration between The Costume Institute and the Department of Asian Art, high fashion will be juxtaposed with Chinese costumes, paintings, porcelains, and other art, including films, to reveal enchanting reflections of Chinese imagery.
