Full Cast Announced For Stage Adaptation of THE BROONS

Full casting is announced today for THE BROONS, a new stage play bringing Scotland's most famous fictional family to theatres across the country in a World Premiere adaptation by Rob Drummond. The Broons will open at Perth Concert Hall before dates in Inverness, Kirkcaldy, Stirling, Aberdeen, Ayr, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow. There will be a press night at Perth Concert Hall on Thursday 29 September 2016 at 7.30pm.

Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Names New Development Director - Kevin Gifford

Louis Scaglione, President and Music Director of Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO), is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Gifford as the new Development Director of Philadelphia Youth Orchestra.  A Philadelphia-based arts administrator and fundraising professional, Gifford has had a life-long passion for orchestral music, education, and performance. Prior to joining PYO, Kevin held development posts for various Philadelphia arts organizations including Opera Philadelphia, Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, Dancing Classrooms Philly, and the Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra. Additionally, he assists multiple ensembles with production and event management including Tempesta Di Mare, Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia, and Piffaro, The Renaissance Band.

Annette Warren Coming to Catalina Jazz Club, 7/13

Annette Warren, the "secret" singing voice of Ava Gardner and Lucille Ball in such films as the MGM classic "Show Boat," and a nightclub, TV and recording star who career spans the past 70 years, will celebrate her 94th birthday with a special performance of her new one-woman show, "I Ain't Done Yet" at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood on Wed., July 13 at 8:30 PM.  The show will trace her life with songs and stories from her beginning in Cleveland, through her successes in New York, London and Los Angeles.

Cast Announced for Three Cat Productions' MISTER KELLY'S

 Three Cat Productions presents the world premiere of a new musical revue At Mister Kelly's at the Chicago Park District's Berger Park Coach House Theater at 6205 N. Sheridan Road (Edgewater by Granville el stop on Red Line).  Mister Kelly's was a tiny supper club located at 1028 N. Rush Street from 1957 to 1975.

The story of a boy named Peter Pan who refuses to grow up has delighted audiences since Scottish writer J.M. 'Shakespeare: 1616-2016' Now Underway at Notre Dame

Shakespeare Theatre Association Member Theatre, Shakespeare at Notre Dame is in the midst of hosting two international conferences on campus as part of their "Shakespeare: 1616-2016" celebration. First up is the second iteration of 2013's Shakespeare in Prisons Conference, titled, "Shakespeare in Prisons: In Practice." SIP:IP brings community and prison arts practitioners from around the world to Notre Dame January 25-27 for three days of plenaries, panel discussions, and active workshop training by some of the most noted figures in the field of Shakespeare and social justice (including Curt Tofteland, Shakespeare Behind Bars; Tom Magill, Educational Shakespeare Company; Sabra Williams, The Actors' Gang Prison Project; Michelle Hensley, Ten Thousand Things; Bill Watson and Nancy Smith-Watson, Feast of Crispian; and Meade Palidofsky, Storycatchers Theatre). Participants will be given an opportunity to explore techniques for approaching incarcerated and nontraditional populations.
