Tickets to Huntington Theatre's THE JUNGLE BOOK, VENUS IN FUR & More On Sale Tomorrow

Single tickets to the remaining six productions of the Huntington Theatre Company's 2013-2014 Season will go on sale to the general public at midnight on Tuesday, August 6. Single tickets to The Jungle Book, which was recently extended due to popular demand through October 13, 2013, are on sale now. The upcoming season from the recipient of the 2013 Regional Theatre Tony Award and Best of Boston 2013 winner features the return of many celebrated artists who are beloved by Boston audiences.

Huntington Theatre Co. Announces 2013-2014 Productions

Huntington Theatre Company announces four productions of its 2013-2014 Season, each featuring celebrated artists beloved by Boston audiences. Continuing its 31-year tradition, the Huntington will present world-class productions of new works and classics made current created by the finest local and national talent. The varied lineup includes a ravishing new musical adaptation by a visionary director, a stirring world premiere by the Huntington's new playwright-in-residence, a sharp new work by Boston's most recent Broadway playwright, and a master's classic brought to life by two outstanding interpreters of his work.

Odyssey Theatre and Evidence Room Present IVANOV, 4/14-15

Award-winning director Bart DeLorenzo returns to the Odyssey to direct an exuberant and burlesque-spirited version of Anton Chekhov's Ivanov, the story of a once idealistic man turned apathetic from a life going terribly, terribly wrong. DeLorenzo plans a fresh approach to this little-known classic -- no birch trees, samovars, or wicker furniture - in a riotous production that promises to be ridiculous, soulful, and sexy. An Odyssey Theatre and Evidence Room co-production.

Roberta Maxwell and More Perform Staged Reading of THE SCREENS, March 26

A staged reading of Jean Genet's THE SCREENS will be held on Monday March 26, 7:30pm at the Red Bull Theater. Directed by Tracy Cameron Francis and translated by Paul Schmidt, it is an epic exploration of the Algerian Arab revolt against their French colonizers which exalts the individual and relishes the theatrical.

The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University Announces 2012 Season

The 2012 Actors Studio Drama School Repertory Season performances will take place at The Theater at Dance New Amsterdam, 53 Chambers St., just north of City Hall, Wednesdays through Fridays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 3 and 8 p.m. from March 28 through April 28. Antaeus, L.A.'s multiple award-winning classical theater company, marks its 2012 season with a return to seminal ensemble classics. Andrew J. Traister directs the fully double-castproduction of The Seagull, Anton Chekhov's tragicomedy about life, love and the reckless pursuit of happiness. Performances take place March 1 through April 15, with low-priced previews beginning February 23, at The Antaeus Company's interim North Hollywood home inside The Deaf West Theatre.

Yale School of Drama (James Bundy, Dean; Victoria Nolan, Deputy Dean) has announced the 2011-12 season, three vividly imagined theatrical productions that explore some all-too human follies-of making deals with the Devil; of believing appearances; and of wanting what, or who, we cannot have: DOCTOR FAUSTUS LIGHTS THE LIGHTS by Gertrude Stein, CYMBELINE by William Shakespeare, and THE SEAGULL by Anton Chekhov.

Also featured in the cast are Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Tuesenbach), Anson Mount (Solyony), Roberta Maxwell (Anfisa), Louis Zorich (Chebutykin), George Morfogen (Ferapont), Paul Lazar (Kulygin), Gabe Bettio (Rode) and James Patrick Nelson (Fedotik).
