BroadwayWorld's newest webseries parternship THE RESIDUALS is in the middle of a month long KickStarter campaign to make their second season the best it can be. To help raise awareness for the campaign, the show's co-creator and star, Gillian Pensavalle, is reprising her old Monday night bar shift at Planet Rose in New York City (219 Avenue A Frnt 2, New York, New York 10009)!
If you are a regular reader of BroadwayWorld, you should know that the fantastic comedy webseries THE RESIDUALS is currently in pre-production for their second season exclusively here on BroadwayWorld. As part of their preparations, they are in the middle of a KickStarter campaign, and creators Michael Paul Smith and Gillian Pensavalle are thanking their supporters in a pretty unusual way. They are making videos for KickStarter contributors that include classic jokes from a 70-year-old joke book edited by Eddie Cantor. Now where else are you going to get that kind of 'Thank You?' And let's be honest, Gillian's reactions are just as funny as the jokes themselves.
It's ok, admit it, you've been crushing on Jenna Leigh Green since the days of SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH, long before she got entangled with another witch on tour and Broadway in WICKED. Now Green is set to guest star on THE RESIDUALS, BroadwayWorld's newest webseries collaboration.
In the tradition of SUBMISSIONS ONLY, BroadwayWorld is proud to announce that Season 2 of the critically-acclaimed comedy webseries THE RESIDUALS will premiere exclusively on BWW in early 2015. THE RESIDUALS' team is now in pre-production for its second season, featuring guest stars Horatio Sanz (SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE), Jenna Leigh Green (SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH, Broadway's WICKED), and commercial acting legend Michael Torpey.
Welcome to the first edition of BWW TV World's new video show BUT, WAIT! WHAT? hosted by BWW's Chief TV critic Matt Tamanini. A few times each week, Matt will bring you news from all quadrants of the Pop Culture world. In this first episode, Matt chats with Gillian Pennsavalle and Michael Paul Smith, the husband and wife team behind the critically-acclaimed (by Matt and many others) webseries THE RESIDUALS. Mike and Gillian talk to Matt about the shows they are most excited about during the Fall 2014 TV Season.

When I first sat down to write Season Two of 'The Residuals,' the first question I had for myself was about the 'big picture.' Do we make this season about a big overall storyline, or do we abide by Larry David's 'Seinfeld' rule of, 'No hugging, no learning'?
I didn't get into this business to be the first actor, or the only actor. I'm pretty sure some Greek person locked that up a few thousand years ago. So why, after not a whole helluva lot of years out of college, did I greet news of my friends' and acquaintances' successes with little more than fear and self-consciousness? Furthermore: why did I even greet news of their failures and setbacks (real talk, now) with some sub-level of relief? Why don't we like each other's work more often? Why is it easier to watch a stranger's work than someone we know? Why; for that matter, do some of the greatest actors this world has to offer get crapped on via the anonymous internet every day? BWW---I submit to you now---that the response to those questions, and to your impulses to do the same, is that it shouldn't be that way, and it doesn't have to be.
In Season One of our webseries THE RESIDUALS, my wife and I managed to learn countless skills on the fly. One thing that we were able to postpone learning was the skill of crowd-funding. Until now! It's on, BWW. And here's what I've learned so far.
