Fans Sing Their Way To The TONY Awards With Macy's And CBS Contest, Begins 4/27

The Tony Awards, Macy's and CBS today launched a nationwide online contest* in which two lucky fans will win the opportunity to walk the red carpet, attend and be featured on live television at the Tony Awards on Sunday, June 13th. The Macy's Ticket to the Tonys contest will launch online at www.CBS.com/tonys on Tuesday, April 27th.

Circle in the Square Theatre School (CITSTS) with the team of Joziah Longo, Michael Milligan and Theodore Mann have created a new musical based on the children's classic Aesop's Fables. The following of Aesop's timeless tales will be included in the production: 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf,' 'The Hare and the Tortoise,' 'The Fox and the Crow' and 'The Lion and the Mouse.'

Lucille Lortel Awards Administration and Lucille Lortel Foundation Honor Daryl Roth with 2010 Lifetime Achievement Prize

Today, the Lucille Lortel Awards Administration Committee and the Lucille Lortel Foundation announce the recipient of the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award: Daryl Roth. This honor is conferred to a theatre professional known for their dedication to Off-Broadway. On May 2, 2010, Daryl Roth will join the recipients in the 18 other Lortel Award categories on stage for the 25th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards starting at 8 PM EST at Terminal 5 in New York City.

The 21st Annual GYPSY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION announced an all time record total of $4,630,695 had been raised by the 60 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and National Tour companies to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year's total breaks the previous record when $3,927,000 was raised for the 2007 GYPSY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION.
