Written by critically acclaimed UK author John Livings, At Last: The Etta James Story premiered at Melbourne's Athenaeum Theatre on 19 February 2013 (just over a year after Etta James' death in January 2012), and enjoyed a sell-out Sydney season in May. The show will play at the Her Majesty's Theatre Adelaide, for three performances today and tomorrow, 2 and 3 August 2013 following a season in Brisbane. Almost 400,000 people have attended concerts at Arts Centre Melbourne's new Hamer Hall since it re-opened last July 26, roundly cementing its reputation as the 'people's concert hall'.
