Selected from over 400 submissions, Ontario Was Here is the first of two scripts scheduled for expanded development as part of the 2013 Premiere Stages Play Festival. The Festival is an annual competition for unproduced scripts by playwrights with ties to the greater metropolitan area (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut), and perfectly embodies the theatre's passionate and longstanding commitment to supporting emerging artists through the development and production of new plays.

Starring Oscar winner Michael Caine (The Dark Knight Rises, Inception), who recently signed on to star in Interstellar his 6th Christopher Nolan film, Last Love is written and directed by Sandra Nettelbeck, and co-stars Clemence Poesy (In Bruges, 127 Hours), Justin Kirk (Goats, Showtime's 'Weeds'), Gillian Anderson (The X Files) and Jane Alexander (Dream House, Terminator Salvation). Bill Bromiley, chief acquisitions officer for Image Entertainment, made today's announcement.

Sherri James Buxton and Friends, featuring the Bob Shepherd Trio, Charles Neville and Paul Green, is a live concert at The Colonial Theatre on June 1 at 8pm to benefit Community Resources for People with Autism. At 6pm there will be a pre-concert VIP reception in The Colonial Theatre lobby, catered by Shiro with wines from Kelly's Package Store. Those who purchase the VIP reception tickets will also be treated to pre-show entertainment by Dominic Annand on the piano.

humRumbleROAR Productions has announced the world premiere production of Chisa Hutchinson's ALONDRA WAS HERE, directed by Jade King Carroll. ALONDRA WAS HERE will play a limited engagement at The Wild Project (195 East 3rd Street, NYC). Performances begin tonight, May 4 and continue through Saturday, May 18. Opening Night is Wednesday, May 8 (7 p.m.).
