While much of the attention around the world was focused on one comic book musical adaptation opening, another was also making its beginning - BATMAN LIVE, which began arena tour in the UK in July. The show follows Dick Grayson, an orphaned circus performer who is looked after by Bruce Wayne. In his search for justice, he discovers the true identity of Batman and joins him as his crime-fighting sidekick, Robin.

Consumer Products (WBCP), DC Entertainment and Nick Grace of Water Lane Productions Ltd (WLP) announced that BATMAN LIVE - a unique action-packed live show - will tour arenas for the first time ever across the UK and Europe, beginning in summer 2011 and arriving in North America by summer 2012.

As BroadwayWorld first revealed this morning, 25 years after Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman opened the show in London, Cameron Mackintosh has announced that he will present Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 1st October at 7.30pm and Sunday 2nd October at 1.30pm and 7.00pm. Tickets for 'Phantom of the Opera at the Albert Hall' go on sale on Monday 4 July at 10.00am and are available on 0845 401 5045 or at www.phantom25th.com. New Details Revealed on BATMAN LIVE

BATMAN LIVE, which will begin a full arena tour in the UK in July, has revealed additional information about the plot lines featured in the production. The show will follow Dick Grayson, an orphaned circus performer who is looked after by Bruce Wayne. In his search for justice, he discovers the true identity of Batman and joins him as his crime-fighting sidekick, Robin.

West End LES MISERABLES Musicians to Re-Audition for Expanded Orchestra

According to The Stage, current musicians from West End's LES MISERABLES will have to re-audition to be a part of the newly expanded orchestra. As previously reported, Cameron Mackintosh will expand the orchestra from 11 to 14 for the production, which is currently playing the Queen's Theatre. The increase in orchestra members will allow the musicians to use the new arrangements for the show, as the West End production is currently the only one still using the outdated arrangements.

LES MISERABLES Orchestra to Be Expanded

According to a report by The Stage,Cameron Mackintosh is planing to expand the orchestra from 11 to 14 for West End's Les Miserables. The production, which is currently playing the Queen's Theatre, will also get a new sound design. The increase in orchestra members will allow the musicians to use the new arrangements for the show, as the West End production is currently the only one still using the outdated arrangements.

According to The Telegraph, new deatils have been realeased about the upcoming UK tour of BATMAN LIVE, revealing that the show could be quite reminiscent of Broadway's SPIDER-MAN:TURN OFF THE DARK.
