Andrew Lloyd Webber's new production of Jesus Christ Superstar, directed by Laurence Connor, promises to be the rock event of the year as Tim Minchin (Judas Iscariot) and Ben Forster (Jesus) began rehearsals at a secret location in London this week. The first image of the highly contemporary production has today been revealed - complete with riot police who feature heavily in the opening sequence of the new rock musical production.
BATMAN LIVE, which recently toured the UK, will launch a US tour in Anaheim on September 5, 2012. The show follows Dick Grayson, an orphaned circus performer who is looked after by Bruce Wayne. In his search for justice, he discovers the true identity of Batman and joins him as his crime-fighting sidekick, Robin. The announced tour dates are as follows:

Presented by NCM Fathom and Omniverse Vision, a fully staged THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL event is being broadcast to select theaters for an exclusive four-night run beginning with the LIVE broadcast on Sunday, October 2 at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT; followed by pre-recorded broadcasts on Wednesday, October 5; Thursday, October 6 and one final encore on Tuesday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. local time. The first box office numbers are in and, according to the UK Film Council, The Phantom of the Opera screenings took in £550,955 over the weekend alone. Final tallies for the addition screenings should be in by the end of the week.
