JACK IN A BOX Online Sitcom Celebrates 2 Years, Releases Newest Episode

Michael Cyril Creighton's award winning online sitcom 'JACK IN A BOX' about a frustrated theatre box office manager, currently in its third season, celebrates its 2 Year Anniversary and releases the 23rd episode of the series, entitled 'The Date.' After 2 years of watching Jack be a sort of snarky, hapless sad sack, it's possible this little dough boy has found love. Or will he ruin it, just like he ruined that audition to play an Adult Baby on Law & Order: SVU? The episode features downtown theatre favorites Paul Thureen (The Debate Society) and Becky Yamamoto (Young Jean Lee's Songs of the Flying Dragon to Heaven).

Goldberg-Produced WHITE NOISE Heads to Chicago this Spring

A casting notice just released by AEA reveals that the Whoopi Goldberg-produced White Noise will play its pre-Broadway engagement at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago this spring. Performances are scheduled to begin on April 1, with an opening date of April 9. Rehearsals begin in February in New York City. Last month, White Noise director Sergio Trujillo has suggested the show may be Chicago-bound, telling the Tribune: 'I think we're going to get it up in Chicago...Soon.'

On Monday, October 4, 2010, Tony Award winning actress and Grey's Anatomy star Sara Ramirez and Emmy award winning television personality and the evening's host Carson Kressley, were joined by a host of Broadway stars for an intimate evening to celebrate Broadway Takes the Runway - an evening of fashion and song. All proceeds from the night will benefit the Al D. Rodriguez Liver Foundation, which honors the close friend of Ramirez and Kressley, who was lost to liver cancer in 2008. Pop icon Deborah Cox headlined a star-studded cast featuring performances and presentations by Sandra Thurman, former AIDS Czar under President Bill Clinton and current President and CEO of International AIDS Trust, the cast of FELA!, Dancing With The Stars finalist and N'SYNC star Lance Bass, Tony Award winners Alice Ripley, Chuck Cooper, Melba Moore, and TV stars Graham Phillips (The Good Wife) and Ariana Grande (Nickelodeon's Victorious), for the third annual Broadway in South Africa (BSA) benefit concert last night, October 4. Nearly the entire show featured world-premiere songs, created for the evening, by such composers as Grammy Award winners Desmond Child and Julie Gold. This year's honoree was producer Michael Butler. He is one of the most successful theatrical producers, lauded for bringing HAIR to Broadway in 1968, and an active proponent of youth creating positive global social change.
