by Nancy Grossman
- Aug 7, 2017
In a bizarre and unfortunate case of life imitating art, Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston found itself without its leading man only hours before the curtain going up on their season-ending production of 42nd STREET. Producing Artistic Director Robert J. Eagle announced that the understudy would step into the role and the show opened as scheduled. Rich Allegretto, headliner Rachel York, and the stellar company pulled it together to remind everyone what theater is all about.

BWW Review: MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION at SHEA'S 710 Theatre
by Michael Rabice
- Nov 4, 2016
Something exciting has happened in the former Studio Arena Theatre, now known as Shea's 710 Theatre .The Shaw Festival, Canada's only Bi-National theatre company, has forged an alliance across the border with Shea's Buffalo Theatre to present one of their productions at 710 each season. Given the caliber of last night's opening of George Bernard Shaw's MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION, Buffalo has added another gem to it's theatre community. In it's heyday Studio Arena had a national reputation of presenting cutting edge theatre with world class actors and those who still remember that era should flock back downtown to witness 710's rebirth.

BWW Review: Stratford's LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST Hits a Home Run!
by Lauren Gienow
- Aug 19, 2015
LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST opened at the Stratford Festival's Festival Theatre on Friday night…and it hit a home run with the audience! Director, John Caird takes one of Shakespeare's earlier plays and makes it feel shiny and new. Assisting with this is an exceptional cast, captivating set design, and beautiful music-but what is truly on display is William Shakespeare's utter love of, and talent with the English language. He makes words and sounds fun, and that is particularly true in this play.
