The Kennedy Center presents MARY POPPINS and SHEAR MADNESS through the months of July and August as well special performances from the the Synetic Theater, the Reduced Shakespeare Company, and the National Symphony Orchestra. Producers Cameron Mackintosh and Thomas Schumacher announced full casting for the Fort Lauderdale engagement of MARY POPPINS. Fort Lauderdale's most eagerly anticipated stage production will begin performances at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, June 9th for a limited engagement of 3 weeks through Sunday, June 27th. The opening night is Friday, June 11 at 8:00pm.

MARY POPPINS, Broadway's perfectly magical musical, is pleased to welcome all new Banks children to the Broadway cast: alternating the role of Jane Banks is Catherine Missal, Rachel Resheff and Rozi Baker; alternating the role of Michael Banks is Christopher Flaim, David Gabriel Lerner and Ethan Haberfield (Missal and Flaim began performances on Tuesday, May 18; Resheff and Lerner will begin on Tuesday, May 25; Baker and Haberfield will begin on Friday, June 4).

The legendary Richard M. Sherman and his wife Elizabeth recently took in a performance of MARY POPPINS on Tuesday, May 18. Following the show, they toasted the Broadway company and visited with star Laura Michelle Kelly backstage at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

The Tampa, Fla., premiere of MARY POPPINS opens tonight, Friday, May 21, at 8 p.m. at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts for a limited engagement of three weeks through Sunday, June 6. MARY POPPINS plays Tuesday- Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 6:30 p.m. Great seats are still available at each performance.

Her trusted friend and cohort, the chimney sweep and fun-loving Bert, is ready to help Mary share her magic with this family in need. When Mary Poppins, the award winning Broadway production of the timeless classic story, flies into Atlanta's Fabulous Fox Theatre, Bert will be ready to share the magic of this exciting production with local audiences. Playing this role, a role he originated in London and then Broadway, is Gavin Lee, who sat down to share with me his take on his experience with Mary Poppins and the satisfaction of playing such an amazing role.
