Mark Ruffalo and Tim Robbins Set for 'Thanks for Sharing' Film

Stage and film veterans Tim Robbins and Mark Ruffaloare set to play leading roles in the new film 'Thanks for Sharing'. Their roles haven't yet been specified, but the movie is 'a heartfelt comedy set in and around a 12-step program for recovering sex addicts in New York City. The bonds of friendship between these men help the overcome temptation and develop meaningful relationships for the first time in their lives.'

Celebration Theatre announces the third show in its 2010-2011 Season of Shows, a world premiere musical event, THE NEXT FAIRY TALE, with book, music and lyrics by Celebration Theatre company member Brian Pugach, musical direction by Wayne Moore, choreography by Jeffrey Polk, directed by Celebration Theatre's Artistic Director, Michael A. Shepperd and produced for Celebration Theatre by John Michael Beck.

Robbins' BREAK THE WHIP Opens at Ivy Substation

Tim Robbins' new play Break the Whip began performances at the Ivy Substation on September 2. The play revolves around struggles of the three cultures of the Jamestown Colony- English settlers, African slaves, and Powatan Indians. Charles McNulty recently reviewed the Actors' Gang production in the LA Times saying, 'It's safe to say that when Tim Robbins is in charge, there's never going to be a shortfall of political passion.'

Tim Robbins & Peter Sarsgaard Join Ryan Reynolds in 'Green Lantern' Film

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tim Robbins and Peter Sarsgaard will be joining Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming Green Lantern film. Based on the DC Comics superhero, the movie will be directed by Martin Campbell and is set to begin filming in New Orleans in March.

THE NEIL SIMON PLAYS are the first Broadway revivals of two of Neil Simon's beloved Eugene Morris Jerome plays, Brighton Beach Memoirs and Broadway Bound, directed by David Cromer. Brighton Beach Memoirs opened last night at the Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). Broadway Bound joins Brighton Beach Memoirs in repertory on November 18, with opening night on Thursday, December 10.
