IF YOU CAN GET TO BUFFALO to Play Off-Broadway, Begin. 2/13

A new play about one of the first and most notorious cases of invasion of privacy on the Internet - 'IF YOU CAN GET TO BUFFALO: An Exploration of 'A Rape in Cyberspace' by Julian Dibbell,' written by Trish Harnetiaux and directed by Eric Nightengale - will be given its world premiere this winter by Incubator Arts Project (inside St. Mark's Church, 131 E. 10 St. in Manhattan), with preview performances Thursday, February 13th prior to an official press opening on Tuesday, February 18th, 2014.

Billie Jean King Play SHE IS KING Featured in Incubator Arts Project; Runs 1/10-26

The legendary tennis star and equal rights pioneer Billie Jean King takes center stage as the subject of the new play SHE IS KING - conceived and created by Laryssa Husiak, directed by Katherine Brook - being given its NY premiere with performances January 10-26 at the Incubator Arts Project (inside St. Mark's Church, 131 E. 10 St. in Manhattan) as part of OTHER FORCES 2014, Incubator Arts' annual festival of work from some of independent theater's most innovative artists.

TCG Books Releases Richard Foreman's THE MANIFESTOS AND ESSAYS

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) announces the publication of Richard Foreman's The Manifestos and Essays. This volume collects all of the avant-garde theatre pioneer's writings on the subject of 'What is art?' from his early manifestos through his recent transition to the use of film, and provides a fascinating window into this singular artist's mind and creative process.

Sundance Institute Selects Artists for 2014 Playwrights Retreat at Ucross Foundation

Sundance Institute today announced the seven artists selected for its 2014 Playwrights Retreat at Ucross Foundation. The 15th annual writing colony at the 20,000-acre working cattle ranch outside of Sheridan, WY takes place February 3-21. Under the supervision of Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the Playwrights Retreat is made possible through the generosity of Ucross Foundation.

Theatre School at DePaul University to Present OUR TOWN, Begin. 10/2

The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present OUR TOWN as the inaugural production at the new Theatre School building, located at Racine and Fullerton on the Lincoln Park Campus. The Fullerton Stage Theatre is a 250-seat thrust theatre located on the first floor of the school. Thornton Wilder's OUR TOWN is directed by Damon Kiely, premieres on Friday, October 4, and runs through Sunday, October 13, 2013. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. An additional matinee performance will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 5. Previews are on October 2 and 3, at 7:30 PM.

Brian d'Arcy James, Malcolm Gets and More to Join Ethan Hawke in LCT's MACBETH; Cast Announced!

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of Producing Artistic Director Andre Bishop, has announced that Bianca Amato, Shirine Babb, John Patrick Doherty, Austin Durant, Richard Easton, Francesca Faridany, Stephanie Fieger, Malcolm Gets, John Glover, Ben Horner, Ruy Iskandar, Brian d'Arcy James, Byron Jennings, Aaron Krohn, Jeremiah Maestas, Christopher McHale, Jonny Orsini, Sam Poon, Triney Sandoval, Nathan Stark, Daniel Sunjata, Patrick Vaill, Tyler Lansing Weaks and Derek Wilson will join Ethan Hawke and Anne-Marie Duff in its upcoming production of Shakespeare's MACBETH, directed by Jack O'Brien. The production, which will feature a cast of 27, will begin previews on Thursday, October 24 and open on Thursday, November 21 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Klejs & Ronsholdt's HOME Debuts Tonight at 3-Legged Dog

3-Legged Dog has announced that groundbreaking Danish artists Klejs & Ronsholdt will premiere HOME, the final part of their LoveRacer trilogy, at an open studio from tonight, July 1 - Wednesday, July 3 from 1 PM - 6 PM each day. The installation takes place at 3LD Art and Technology Center (80 Greenwich St, NYC). It is FREE and open to the public.

Roots & Wings Theatrical's 6th Annual 'Duct Tape and A Dream Festival' Set for May

For the sixth installment of the Duct Tape and A Dream Festival, collaborative new works company Roots and Wings will showcase eight fresh premiers divided between two programs running in repertory May 15th-19th, 2013: A "Duct Tape" Program and a "Dream" Program. Both nightly programs are anchored by one longer piece and feature three shorter new works. The festival is truly eclectic including dance, clowning, devised theatre, a multi-media show, and new plays exploring a variety of subjects all written by emerging artists. The programs will play in rotation at the Bridge Theatre @ Shetler Studios, 244 West 54th Street, 12th Floor.

Written, directed, and designed by Richard Foreman, who has been working with The Public Theater for more than 36 years, OLD-FASHIONED PROSTITUTES (A TRUE ROMANCE) and runs through Sunday, June 2, in The Public's Martinson Theater, with an official press opening on Tuesday, May 7.

Decadancetheatre Comes to 3LD Art and Technology Center This Weekend

3-Legged Dog has announced that groundbreaking Decadancetheatre will perform this weekend only as part of their 3LD/336 Residency Grant, with performances on Friday March 29 at 11:30 AM and Saturday March 30 at 3 PM & 8 PM.
