'Going to any new country we never had a show before is an honor. We're loving America at the moment; it goes the same for the Philippines.' - Jeff Turner, co-creator and star of 'Potted Potter'
Tony nominee Josh Young (Judas Iscariot), who brought the closing audience of "Jesus Christ Superstar" (JCS) to its feet, seconds after his strong 11 o'clock number, "Jesus Christ Superstar," yesterday afternoon at Neil Simon Theatre, signed everyone's playbill at the stage door, and showed off to the crowd his pooch, Keppy, who was wearing a replica of Young's character's royal blue sequined top, designed by Paul Tazewell ("In the Heights," "The Color Purple") for the show.

Hollywood-turned-Broadway actress Anna Maria Perez de Tagle's "Godspell" co-stars, showbiz friends, and fans turned out in full force at her recent benefit concert held on board the Hornblower Hybrid, which - aside from the audience enjoying De Tagle and her buddies' wide repertoire - treated the crowd to breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.
GODSPELL stars Corbin Bleu, George Salazar, Wallace Smith, Nick Blaemire, and Eric Michael Krop; Tony winner Lea Salonga; and Filipino TV, film actor and recording artist Sam Milby walked the red carpet on Monday night to show support to mutual friend and fellow artist Anna Maria Perez de Tagle in her pursuit to raise additional funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
ROCK OF AGES on Broadway wanted him to stay for another six months. In spite of that, after more than 500 shows, which began in his swing job at ROCK OF AGES' first national tour two years ago and ended up in his last performance as the musical's male romantic lead, Drew, on Broadway last Sunday, Dan Domenech has opted for some time off instead. BroadwayWorld.com brings you exclusive photos of Domenech's farewell party, in which ROA cast members, some theater friends, and family members joined the intimate gathering, recently held at Pazza Notte Restaurant & Lounge on Avenue of Americas.

I just have to write about Lara Fabregas; she's my kind of a leading lady of the theater: enigmatic, elusive, complex, sultry, and divine. If she were to star as Hedda Gabler, the original, quintessential "desperate housewife" in Henrik Ibsen's 1890 play, in the big city, which versatile and accomplished actresses Cate Blanchett and Mary-Louise Parker did in 2006 and 2009, respectively, I'd be the first to fall in line for show tickets. Alas, Ms. Fabregas' much-awaited stage comeback after almost seven years is happening back home in Manila. At times like these, I wish I were a bridge that could stretch across the Pacific.
