Tony Award winning playwright Enda Walsh will be represented once again at Rogue Machine Theatre when PENELOPE opens on June 14th at 8pm.

The New Group opened the New York premiere of Annapurna by Sharr White, directed by Bart DeLorenzo and featuring Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman, on April 21. The limited Off-Broadway engagement will officially end its run on June 1.

The Polish Consulate will host a performance of the currently running White Marriage on Thursday, May 22 at the Odyssey Theatre in honor of playwright Tadeusz Ro'ewicz who died on April 24 at the age of 92. Polish Consul General Mariusz Brymora is set to speak about Ro?ewicz's influence on Polish post-war culture in arts and letters at a reception following the 8 p.m. performance

Beneath the genteel suburban surface in A DELICATE BALANCE, the real questions raised are existential, abstract, and dangerous - from the unknown fear that taunts their neighbors to the response they receive from Agnes and Tobias, a couple who has been living in separate bedrooms for years in their own home. 'The play is concerned with the isolation of people who have turned their backs on participating fully in their own lives and therefore cannot participate fully in anyone else's life,' explained Albee to biographer Mel Gussow.

Odyssey Theatre Ensemble's production of A Steady Rain by Keith Huff, directed by Steppenwolf Theatre co-founder Jeff Perry (Scandal) and starring Thomas Vincent Kelly and Sal Viscuso, will extend through May 11 before transferring to the Guthrie Theatre in Minnesota this fall.

A STEADY RAIN is first and foremost a story about Denny and Joey, two Chicago cops caught up in a series of violent events that alter the course of their lives and their understanding of the world they inhabit. The play is also an exploration of the special bonds of male friendship, and the forces that test those bonds.

Religion, politics and theater collide when Bart DeLorenzo directs the Los Angeles premiere of Passion Play by Tony and two-time Pulitzer Prize nominee Sarah Ruhl, kicking off the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble's 45th Anniversary Season in a co-production with Evidence Room. Performances begin Jan. 25 at the Odyssey Theatre in West L.A. and continue through March 16.

David Trainer directs the Los Angeles Premiere of David Greig's celebrated new version of August Strindberg's psychological thriller CREDITORS, a co-production between two of the city's most respected theaters, the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble and The New American Theatre. The production is a sexy, savage, darkly comic, and very modern take on the battle of the sexes.
