MUNICH '72 AND BEYOND Wins Best Documentary at LA Shorts Fest

Munich '72 and Beyond, a searing account of the Munich Olympic Massacre and subsequent 43-year fight for recognition by the victims' families, was named Best Documentary at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival.

BLOOD is Back This October

Glenne Headly (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Dick Tracy, Mr. Holland's Opus) and James Kyson (NBC's Heroes, voted one of "Hollywood's 25 Hottest" by TV Guide) join the cast when The Garage re-opens its acclaimed world premiere production of BLOOD. Written and directed by Obie and New York Outer Critics Circle Award-winner/ DGA Award, two-time Golden Globe and five-time Emmy Award nominee Robert Allan Ackerman, BLOOD returns to the The Complex in Hollywood beginning Oct. 14.

PCRT to Present MY FAIR LADY This Fall

Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre will present the classic musical My Fair Lady with Book and Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and Music by Frederick Loewe.

Two World Premieres and More Set for Ma-Yi Theater Company's 2016-17 Season

A world-premiere play, Among the Dead by Hansol Jung; a world-premiere musical by Michi Barall, Paul Lieber, and Matt Park, PEER GYNT & the Norwegian Hapa Band; and the special presentation of the hit play The Wong Kids in the Secret of the Space Chupacabra Go! by Lloyd Suh in Manila comprise the season to be produced by Ma-Yi Theater Company during their 2016-2017 season, it is announced by the company's Producing Artistic Director Ralph B. Peña and Executive Director Jorge Z. Ortoll.

Susan Neuffer Returns to the Cabaret Stage with New Show at DON'T TELL MAMA

Susan Neuffer returns to the cabaret stage after a 10-year absence with a new show, "Apocalypse Wow", directed by MAC award winner Lennie Watts, with musical direction by Gerry Dieffenbach. Rufus Bonds, Jr. Replaces Norm Lewis in MAN OF LA MANCHA at 5th Avenue Theatre

Broadway's Rufus Bonds, Jr. will be tilting at windmills on The 5th Avenue Theatre stage when he takes over the role of Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha. Bonds was recently seen as Porgy in The Gershwins' Porgy & Bess in London's West End, and was a member of the original Broadway casts of RENT and Parade.

National Theatre of the Deaf to Present Excerpts of Deaf Theatre Adaptation of KING LEAR at Eugene O'Neill Theatre Centre

The National Theatre of the Deaf is pleased to announce a performance of excerpts from John Basinger's THE KING, based on the title character in William Shakespeare's KING LEAR. Mr. Basinger will also direct this production for NTD. Patrick Graybill plays the lead character.  Graybill is responsible for the Sign Language adaptation of THE KING.

Barnard College Student Life to Present Asian American Playwright Marisa Marquez's MS. ORIENTAL

September 2016 is also known as National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.  According to National Vital Statistics Reports, suicide was the second leading cause of death for Asian Americans aged 15 to 34.   It is also the leading cause of death among Gay and Lesbian youth nationally.  To help build awareness around the issue of suicide and to promote prevention, Barnard College Student Life presents Marisa Marquez's new American play, Ms. Oriental, which is directed by Ilana Becker.
