Variety reports that Katie Holmes is set to star in Miramax Films' 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark,' a thriller that is scripted by Guillermo del Toro and Matthew Robbins.

The hit online television series, The Battery's Down, will premiere Episode 11, 'Bad Bad News,' on Friday, May 1 at Midnight on YouTube and their official website. The show is filmed in a style similar to Curb Your Enthusiasm and chronicles the life of young actor Jake Wilson in New York City. Each twenty-minute, two-part episode will premiere at Midnight on the first of every month and feature a slew of Broadway guest stars.

On Many April 20th MGC Productions presented Broadway Speaks OUT Live at The Duplex. The evening was hosted by MGC Productions founding artistic director, Martin Gould Cummings. Paper Mill Playhouse's 1776, Directed by Gordon Greenberg and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, will run at the Millburn theatre from April 15 through May 17, 2009. 1776 was selected by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts as part of the American Masterpieces Series in New Jersey. American Masterpieces is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts. The production officially opens tonight, Sunday, April 19th.

Concertgoers can expect to see some original numbers, comedy sketches, campy Broadway gems, video shorts, a premiere of Nick Blaemire's 'All About Me' from Episode 11 of THE BATTERY'S DOWN, and most importantly - some improvised musical numbers from audience suggestions!
