The award-winning smash hit Broadway production of Tennessee Williams's 'CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF', which enjoyed a sell out run on Broadway last year with an all black cast, will open in London's West End this winter. 'CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF' will open at the Novello Theatre on Tuesday 1 December, following previews from 21 November. The limited season will finish on Saturday 10 April 2010.

The 55th Annual Evening Standard Theatre Awards, honouring outstanding achievements in London Theatre, has released their shortlist of 2009 nominees. The award ceremony will take place on November 23 at the Royal Opera House, with nominees selected by a panel of London theatre critics.
Variety is reporting that The Stephen Daldry-helmed revival of his 1992 production of An Inspector Calls, currently running in a limited engagement at the Novello Theatre in the West End, will transfer to Wyndhams Theatre in early December for a 16-week run. This move will fill the gap for the theatre created by the early closing of The Shawshank Redemption, as previously announced.
