Paula Brancati, Lauren Collins, Wendy Crewson, Cynthia Dale, Andrea Martin, and Louise Pitre are officially set to be the first cast of the Toronto production of LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE. As in the initial New York staging of the play by Nora and Delia Ephron, the production will feature a company of six that rotates in four-week cycles. The next cast will be announced in the next upcoming weeks.

Love Loss and What I Wore is an off-Broadway hit, and I went to see it before it has its Canadian premiere next week in Toronto. A wonderfully fun, touching and poignant show - I think Canadian women will have a great time experiencing this unique theatrical event.

Producer Daryl Roth announces that following a sold out developmental run last spring, THE DIVINE SISTER, the new comedy written by and starring Charles Busch, directed by Carl Andress, will transfer to the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street) featuring the entire original company: Alison Fraser, Amy Rutberg, Jennifer Van Dyck, Jonathan Walker, and Julie Halston.

Haylie Duff made her Broadway debut in 2006 as Amber von Tussle in Hairspray. She is now back in New York and starring in Nora and Delia Ephron's production of Love, Loss and What I Wore. Duff earned a Teen Choice Award for her role as Summer Wheatly in the cult classic 'Napoleon Dynamite,' and has also served as an executive producer and mentor to contestants on MTV's reality show, 'Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods.'

Stage and film star Haylie Duff (Napoleon Dynamite; Hairspray), Off Broadway vet Ashley Austin Morris (Die Mommie Die) officially joined the July cast of Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's smash hit show Love, Loss, and What I Wore and they made their debut on June 30th. They join stars Penny Fuller (who was part of the last cast and will continue her role as ‘Gingy'), Sharon Lawrence ('NYPD Blue') and Myra Lucretia Taylor (Broadway's Nine). The five women began their run on Wednesday, June 30 and continue through Sunday, July 25.

The Geffen Playhouse's second cast of Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore will include Lucy DeVito, Conchata Ferrell and Rhea Perlman. Devito, who is best known for her stints Off-Broadway as well as spots on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, has appeared in many casts of the New York production. Joining DeVito is her mother, four-time Emmy Award winner Rhea Perlman.

Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that Hugh Jackman has his sights set on the stage again, having just participated in a reading of Nora Ephron's new play, Stories about McAlary. Directed by Mike Nichols, the play cernters on the life of the late New York Post and Daily News columnist Mike McAlary (read by Jackman). The reading also included Sarah Paulson and Richard Kind.
