Ars Nova one of the most adventurous Off-Broadway companies (New York Times), piece by piece productions and Z Space present the world premiere of The Lucky Ones, a new musical by The Bengsons and Sarah Gancher (Hundred Days), commissioned and developed by Ars Nova.

Noche Flamenca returns to The Joyce Theater (175 8th Avenue) with Intimo, a flamenco performance exploring the possibilities and limitations of human relationships, and set to original, live music, February 13-25. Founded in 1993 by Artistic Director Martin Santangelo and globally acclaimed dancer Soledad Barrio, Noche Flamenca honors the raw and rapturous art of flamenco while stretching tradition to explore the human experience in its many varieties. Barrio, whom The New York Times has deemed one of today's great dancers of any genre, performs with a cast of exceptional flamenco dancers and musicians, many hailing from Spain.

The Lincoln Center Young Patrons, a membership group that supports Lincoln Center's arts education and audience development initiatives, will present a wide range of events throughout winter/spring 2018. Designed to drive arts engagement with New Yorkers in their 20s and 30s, the program has expanded its activities in recent years, now offering more than 30 events annually, and seen significant growth in its centerpiece initiative, the 101 Series.

Meany Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Washington announced today that Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba has cancelled its November 16-18, 2017 performances at Meany Hall. The company was unable to secure travel visas due to the recent suspension of visa processing at the U.S. Embassy in Havana. The company has been replaced by Soledad Barrio & Noche Flamenca, one of the world's top touring flamenco troupes.

Ms. Barrera presents an intimate evening of flamenco music and dance featuring some of Spain's and New York's elite flamenco artists including dancer Raquel Heredia, singer Sergio G mez, guitarist ngel Ruiz, violinist Ali Bello, and accompanist Manolo de C rdoba.

Z Space, one of the nation's leading laboratories for the development of new theater works, is pleased to announce its 25th Anniversary in 2018. Among the artistic highlights of the anniversary year are world premiere works by The Kilbanes, The Bengsons, Colman Domingo, Kate E. Ryan, Word for Word and Mugwumpin. Z Space's 25th Anniversary productions exemplify Artistic Director Lisa Steindler's commitment to discovery and excellence. The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia (UBC) presents Noche Flamenca'sAntigona, their critically-acclaimed work fusing flamenco and Greek tragedy, March 12 at 7pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. Adapted from Sophocles' Antigone, and starring Bessie-award winner Soledad Barrio as the lead, Antigona looks at repression, heroism and loss in a fiery, multi-media spectacle.
