Friends and colleagues of Associated Press theater critic Michael Kuchwara honored his memory with a musical tribute of his favorite Broadway songs Monday (2/28) night at Birdland in New York City.

As part of the Broadway at Birdland series on Monday, February 28, Broadway stars took time to salute the late theater critic Michael Kuchwara in 'Songs For Mike,' for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, raising over $40,000.

Michael Kuchwara, the beloved Associated Press theater reporter and critic for over 25 years, devoted his life to the theater.

The Summer Broadway Cabaret event at Town Hall drew to a close on Monday with another celebration of the power of pure song and dance.

Last night, July 26, the Town Hall hosted ALL SINGIN' ALL DANCIN,' an exhilarating extravaganza of song and dance directed and choreographed by Jeffrey Denman (YANK!, WHITE CHRISTMAS). Inspired by the legendary Broadway dance of The Astaires, Bill 'Bojangles' Robinson, Gower Champion, Bob Fosse, and Jerome Robbins, the show consisted of original choreography created exclusively for the concert and was set to some of the greatest show music ever written including 'Slaughter on Tenth Avenue' and 'Cell Block Tango.'
