Performances of THE PRINCE AND THE SHOWBOY and THE BENNY GOLSON QUARTET with Nnenna Freelon have been added as upcoming performances at the Rrazz Room.

KidZNotes will spend the day in Raleigh, N.C., on Saturday, Nov. 19, attending the North Carolina Symphony's Young People's Concerts performance of 'Beethoven Lives Upstairs' followed by a benefit concert at Flanders Gallery featuring performances by The Beast with guest and Grammy-nominee Nnenna Freelon, Sacrificial Poets and KidZNotes.

Bay Area Cabaret, the local non-profit organization devoted to presenting audiences with top performers who expand the definition of cabaret, has announced its Fall 2011 lineup for the 2011-2012 season, Venetian Evenings.

Bay Area Cabaret's season finale will star one of Broadway's greatest vocal talents, Lillias White. Returning this spring from Nigeria, where she will reprise her Tony-nominated role in FELA!, White is the winner of Broadway's 'Triple Crown' (a Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, and an Outer Critics Circle Award) for her role in Cy Coleman's The Life.

Before his stellar career with Lester Bowie, Don Byron, Dave Holland, and at the helm of myriad projects, trombonist Josh Roseman was a charter member of...the Either/Orchestra.

Bay Area Cabaret continues its landmark season at the historic Venetian Room with 'Vintage Rose,' the West Coast solo concert debut of Tony Award winner and A.C.T. alumna Anika Noni Rose. Direct from the Lincoln Center, where she will appear early in February as a part of its acclaimed American Songbook series, this intimate evening will feature songs made famous by Blossom Dearie, Lena Horne, and other legendary artists. 'Vintage Rose' plays one night only: 7pm Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the Venetian Room of the Fairmont San Francisco (950 Mason Street).
