Hampstead Theatre's new Artistic Director, Edward Hall, announces his first season at the London venue. In an opening season of provocative and potent ideas from both emerging and established artists, Hampstead plans to celebrate originality, wit, and spirit and to ask critical questions about how we live today.

The Royal Court Theatre has announced its fall season, featuring the premieres of five new shows including plays by Bruce Norris, Nina Raine, Nick Payne, E V Crowe and Brett Neveu.

Full casting has been announced for the Royal Court's JOHN MORTIMER AT THE COURT...AND LATER AT THE BAR. The cast will include Broadway stars Jeremy Irons, Alan Rickman, and Harriet Walter. Further casting includes Sinead Cusack, Joanna David, Edward Fox, Tom Hollander, Richard Johnson, Emily Mortimer, Alessandro Nivola, and Dominic West. The evening will be curated by Stephen Jeffreys and Nina Raine will direct. The evening will take place November 15th.

The Royal Court Theatre will celebrate the life of its late chairman and president Sir John Mortimer with an evening of readings, performances and music by some of British theatre's biggest names in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, followed by further events in the Royal Court Café Bar.

On Sunday, June 10th, Rabbit opened at 59E59 Theaters as part of the Brits off Broadway festival. Written and directed by Nina Raine, Rabbit runs through July 1st.

The complete Brits Off-Broadway line-up has been announced, with a number of playwrights joining the previously announced Alan Ayckbourn and Jonathan Lichtenstein
