Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis and Executive Director Patrick Willingham announced the line-up today for The Public's 2015-16 season, continuing the theater's six-decade tradition of producing theater that is accessible to all.

The Hermitage Artist Retreat is pleased to announce that multi-award-winning Director and Playwright Emily Mann will head its National Artist Advisory Committee, replacing Brooklyn Academy of Music Executive Producer Joseph V. Melillo, who has held the position since its inception in 2005. The group is responsible for recommending mid-career artists who are invited to receive six-week residencies at the Hermitage Artist Retreat on Manasota Key in Englewood, FL. The prestigious committee includes some of America's finest directors, curators, and artists. Serving with Ms. Mann are Dr. Tony Bannon, Director Burchfield-Penny Arts Center; Dan Cameron, former Chief Curator, Orange County Museum of Art; Michael Bigelow Dixon, Assistant Professor of Theater, Transylvania University; Kenneth Fischer, President, University Musical Society; Linda S. Golding, Founder/Director, The Reservoir; Colleen Jennings-Roggensack, Executive Director, Arizona State University Gammage; Christopher Merrill, Director, International Writing program, University of Iowa; Josip Novakovich, author; Christopher Offutt, Novelist; Carey Perloff, Artistic Director, American Conservatory Theatre; Barbara Shepherd, Director of National Partnerships –Education, The Kennedy Center; and Franklin Sirmans, Department Head and Curator of Contemporary Art, Los Angles County Museum of Art.

Olga Sanchez, Artistic Director since 2003, will be leaving Milagro next season to begin a new chapter in her artistic life at the University of Oregon, where she will pursue a Doctorate in Theatre Arts.  "I'm delighted to join the academic program at University of Oregon, led by Prof. John Schmor", who penned the award-winning theatrical adaptation of Ursula K. LeGuin's "The Left Hand of Darkness" for the Hand2Mouth-Portland Playhouse collaboration. "Their commitment to artistic practice, as well as scholarly rigor, and to illuminating and actively nurturing the growing cultural diversity of American theatre is immensely appealing. I'm looking forward to this new phase of critical learning and practice."

Victory Gardens Theater announces the final show of its 40th anniversary season, the Midwest Premiere of The Who and the What by Ayad Akhtar, directed by Ron OJ Parson.  The Who and the What runs June 12 - July 12, 2015 with the press performance on Friday, June 19, 2015, at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

Asolo Rep will present the first public reading of Pulitzer and Greenfield Prize-winner Nilo Cruz's new play Bathing in Moonlight as the third and final reading of its sixth annual Unplugged New Play Festival. The reading will be presented on Sunday, April 19 at 7pm in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts Cook Theatre.
