BASH Theatre and Radial Theater Project to Debut New Play BEATING UP BACHMAN, 1/25-2/16

BASH Theatre and Radial Theater Project present Beating Up Bachman, a new play by Seattle-based playwright Wayne Rawley. The world premiere of Beating Up Bachman will be presented January 25 - February 16, 2013 at West of Lenin in Fremont ('the center of the universe'), Seattle, Washington.

Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director, will present a staged reading of The Suicide: A Musical Comedy, Sunday, August 26 and Monday, August 27 at 7pm at the St. Germain Stage (formerly Stage 2) at the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield. Tickets are $15 (reserved seating).

Today, The Moscow Times profiles what they deem a very exciting season for Russian Theatre. They write: 'A quick glance at shows opening in the coming months reveals a strong presence of contemporary writers. Pavel Pryazhko, Yury Klavdiyev, Ivan Vyrypayev and the Presnyakov brothers are all set with new productions of plays. There will also be plenty to choose from for those interested in the work of Russia's best directors. Valery Fokin, Yury Butusov, Genrietta Yanovskaya, Sergei Zhenovach and Robert Sturua are all on the verge of opening new productions.'
