The RSC's hugely acclaimed 2014 pairing of Love's Labour's Lost and Much Ado About Nothing (or Love's Labour's Won) arrives in London this Christmas, following runs at Chichester Festival Theatre and Manchester Opera House. From 9 December 2016 to 18 March 2017, Edward Bennett and Lisa Dillon will delight audiences at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in Christopher Luscombe's elegant, effervescent productions.

The CSO's Holiday Pops, an annual tradition in Columbus since 1983, was conceived by chorus master and conductor Ronald Jenkins who has also led all of its 96 performances. In his third season now as their music director, Bell performs Bach's sublime Violin Concertos No. 1 and No. 2, along with a never-done-before 'violin and orchestra' arrangement of the famous Chaconne from the Partita No. 2 (adapted from Mendelssohn's piano accompaniment), the Gavotte en Rondeau from Partita No. 3 for solo violin (using Schumann's accompaniment), and the universally beloved 'Air on the G string'. Full casting is announced for Christopher Luscombe's productions of Love's Labour's Lost and Love's Labour's Won (also known as Much Ado About Nothing). As part of a season marking the centenary of the First World War, both productions will play in repertoire in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon with a joint press day on Wednesday 15 October. On Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 2 pm, pianist Inna Faliks (www.innafaliks.com) will perform her eclectic program Dances and Passions at New York City's Spectrum, 121 Ludlow (Floor 2, ring bell for 2), New York. In addition to Beethoven's well-regarded Piano Sonata No. 23 (Appassionata), Faliks will also play the composer's Polonaise, Op. 89 and Schumann's Davidsbundler, Op. 6. Works by Shchedrin and New York City's Ljova (Lev Zhurbin) complete the program. This will be Faliks' first appearance at Spectrum.
