The OBIE Award-winning NAATCO, National Asian American Theatre Company, kicks off their 28th season with Stephen Brown-Fried's new adaptation of Shakespeare's Henry VI.

The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) will present the World Premiere of Lizzie Stern's Let's get ready together, directed by Lily Riopelle at The Tank (312 West 36th Streetbetween 8th and 9th Avenues), May 30-June 10. Performances will be Wednesday, May 30, Thursday, May 31, Friday, June 1, Saturday, June 2, Sunday, June 3, Monday, June 4, Wednesday, June 6, Thursday, June 7, Friday, June 8, Saturday, June 9, and Sunday, June 10 at 7 pm. Tickets ($15) are available for advance purchase at www.thetanknyc.org. The performance will run approximately 90 minutes, with no intermission.

New Feet Productions presents ARDEN/EVERYWHERE, co-presented with Baruch Performing Arts Center (BPAC). This adaptation of Shakespeare's As You Like It is conceived and directed by Jessica Bauman. ?Theater For The New City is pleased to announce a special talkback with internationally renowned author Domnica Radulescu and director Andreas Robertz, following the Saturday, May 21, 8:00 pm  performance of Exile Is My Home.  Told as a sci-fi, post-apocalyptic fairy tale,  Exile Is My Home is the haunting story of Mina and Lina, a refugee couple from the Balkans traveling through the galaxy in search of a planet to call home.  The play combines absurdist comedy, irony and suspense to raise consciousness about the current international refugee crisis and the complexity of issues related to it.  The story emerged partly from Radulescu's own experience as a political refugee from the former communist dictatorship of Nicolae Ceausescu and other accounts of displacement.  As millions of people are uprooted from their homes and swept across tumultuous seas and often unwelcome lands, Exile Is My Home highlights the importance of immigrant theater in bringing awareness about many of the challenges facing our world today.

 Experimental electronic musician, Alexander Tanson, announces the compostion of an original soundtrack for the new play by internationally renowned author, Domnica Radulescu.  Directed by Andreas Robertz, Exile Is My Home, is a sci-fi, post-apocalyptic fairy tale inspired by the playwrights experience as a political refugee from the former communist dictatorship of Nicolae Ceausescu.  The original music and sound design follow the themes and events of the play revolving around nostalgia, exile, surreal landscapes and absurd, sometimes violent events.  The result is a soundtrack moving between ambient soundscapes, emotional melodies, and surreal sound collages.

'The Way We Get By' written by Neil LaBute and directed by Kel Haney will be on the Hamilton Stage in Rahway through February 14th. The show is produced by American Theater Group (ATG). We interviewed Jim Vagias, Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Producing Director of ATG about the show.

Turn to Flesh Productions has announced that it will present IN FLIGHT, a new verse play (in rhyming couplets) about a woman with a literary background navigating the corporate world at the offices of an in-flight airline magazine, May 9 - 23 at The WorkShop Theater, 312 West 36th Street, Fourth Floor East (between 8th and 9th Avenues). The production, written by Jenny Lyn Bader and directed by Jessica Bauman, will have its official opening on Thursday, May 14th at 8:00PM.

The 26th annual Free Theatre outdoor production of the Williamstown Theatre Festival's 2013 season is Dracula, or the Un-Dead. Adapted by Free Theatre co-founder and WTF veteran Steve Lawson, this dynamic new stage version of Bram Stoker's iconic 1897 tale will be presented on Poker Flats Field on the Williams College Campus (weather permitting). The production runs today, July 10-13 and July 16-19 at 7:30 p.m. Press are welcome to review.
